You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 5:26
26 Thou shalt come [bow'] to thy grave [qeber] in a
full age [kelach], like as a shock of corn [gadiysh] cometh in [`alah] in his
season [`eth]. KJV-Interlinear
26 'You will come to the grave in full vigor, Like the
stacking of grain in its season. NASB
The
person who is positive toward God, Christ, doctrine, and therefore is advancing
in their spiritual life, will live a full life, according to Gods timetable and
not one day more, and not one day less.
Coming
to the grave in full vigor, means dying and leaving this world with a soul full
of spiritual life. The spiritual life is
not a part of this physical world, it is of the supernatural realm.
The
academic content of your soul, the physical state of your body, the status of
your life in this world is irrelevant.
You
might have a full life, by Gods definition, at age twenty or age ninety. You may be indifferent toward God for most of
your life, and thus at risk of being taken out of this world with a totally
useless spiritual life.
But
God in His infinite wisdom knew that you would come around in your latter
years, and so here you are with an opportunity of advancing in your spiritual
life.
Note
quickly that the mature believer is advanced to a full age, and then is removed. The immature believer or the unbeliever does
not have that luxury. They can be kept
in this world for quite some time, which is not a blessing, but really an
insult to themselves. They become
historical filler, and that is not a very good compliment when their life is
finally evaluated.
The
stacking of grain in the barn is a reference to the harvest of corn. Corn when it is ripe, is harvested
immediately. It is not harvested early,
not harvested late. It is harvested at
the right time in its life cycle.
The
corn, when it is harvested, is lifted up into the cart, and then carried away
to the barn for storage for later use.
Such is the life of the positive believer. When you are positive, then God allows you to
advance through your life's spiritual cycle.
Note that this has nothing to do with your physical life font.
Likewise,
corn has a purpose. It is used for feed
for livestock. It is used for human
consumption. It is used for making flour
and therefore bread and whatever else flour is used for. Corn has many uses. Even today, cereals and even fuel is derived
from corn.
You
as a believer in Christ, are far more important than corn, and Gods uses for
you in His plan are far more important.
So you have a two fold purpose in life.
First is to advance in your spiritual life so God can actually make good
use of you, and then second, God has a use for you during your life. What that purpose is, you might not discover
until you are actually doing something in your life. Probably you will be able to look back on
your life and then discover your purpose.
But as a mature believer, God will show you your purpose sooner or
later.
In
some cases your functional purpose in life might simply be the changing of
diapers, or the discovery of some scientific phenomena. You might be observed by a neighbor and thus
influence his or her life without your knowledge.
One
thing you can probably bet on, is that you most likely will not be on the front
pages of this world's popular media. The
world will not likely know you even exist.
But God knows and that is all that is important. For God will evaluate your life, and your full
spiritual life will qualify you for phenomenal blessings in eternity. That alone is worth far more than all of the
wealth in the world, accumulated for all of human history.
As
an unbeliever, as a negative believer in Christ, your life in this life, will
never be full. It will never be
complete. It will never be satisfying. You will never be contented. Never!
Your life will limp along from one belief to the next, from one opinion
to the next, from one hustle to the next, from one crusade to the next, and you
will never accomplish anything worthwhile, regardless of what you do in life.
As
an unbeliever or as a negative believer in Christ, you will never amount to
anything more than historical filler.
Just filling up space in Gods plan for human history. Being one of many billions of people. If you do not want to be noticed by God or
anyone else, then press this link - link.
And you'll notice that it takes you nowhere, because the links in this life
go nowhere.
As
a mature believer, you will belong to a very small and selective group, the one
true minority, of whom have Gods most noticeable attention. Not noticeable to
the world, but noticeable to God and heaven. You won't find a magic link to
select, to take you to Oz or Never, Never Land, you simply read on, day after
day, and grow up in your spiritual life.
God does all of the rest.
There
are no shortcuts for growing up. No
belonging to magic groups, no joining the latest spiritual fad, no groups that
say that their formula will take you direct into Gods promises. None of this nonsense.
There
is only one way to grow up and that way takes time and study, and the
application of Gods doctrine to your daily life. The study is of Gods Word, and the time is
the rest of your life. God will
determine your usefulness to Him. There are no shortcuts. Those who pursue shortcuts will always end up
further behind in their spiritual life.
