You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Job 5:25

25 Thou shalt know [yada`] also that thy seed [zera`] shall be great [rab], and thine offspring [tse'etsa'] as the grass [`eseb] of the earth ['erets]. KJV-Interlinear

25 'You will know also that your descendants will be many, And your offspring as the grass of the earth. NASB

More often than not, the terms 'seed' and 'offspring' refer to ones children, or the product of ones biological activity.

But then not everyone will have children, and furthermore, none of us can know the spiritual outcome of our children, let alone the spiritual outcome of their children or their children, and so forth down through the generations.

If you live late in human history, then your descendants will not be as many as they would if you lived early in human history.

There is no doubt that Eliphaz is referring to Jobs children. Recall that Job had ten kids, and they all died in an unusual storm.

Is Eliphaz suggesting that Job would have even more children, and they themselves would have children and so forth such that the numbers would become as numerous as the grasses of the earth?

The only one who can know for sure about anyone's future, is God. He alone knows what your future will be, as well as the future of any descendants you might have.

But then, Eliphaz has not been speaking of earthly things in this chapter, he has been speaking of spiritual blessings. So staying in that context we should read this as meaning your seed, which is a reference not to biological production, but spiritual production.

If you have believed in Christ, then you have eternal life. That means that you will live forever with God in heaven. If you are positive toward your Bible studies, then you will grow up to spiritual maturity, and concurrently with that growth, you will have spiritual production.

You cannot grow up spiritually and not have spiritual production. That is an impossibility. Spiritual production is a part of spiritual growth.

Therefore, your production in your spiritual life, combined with your eternal life, gives you a very, very long time to be productive. In fact you will be productive forever.

Remember that anything you do while in fellowship, is your spiritual production, gold, silver, and precious stones. Anything you do while out of fellowship, is your temporal production, wood, hay, and stubble.

God promised Abraham that his seed would be numerous. That phrase referred to his spiritual production, as well as his biological descendants, as well as his spiritual descendants.

Eliphaz is not God, so he cannot know the specifics of the future of humanity. In general he knows, naturally, but not specifically for Job or anyone else for that matter.

But knowing Bible doctrine, Eliphaz knows just what you know. The spiritual life is designed to produce spiritual production. That is an enhancement of the spiritual structure which doctrine builds within your soul. Combine that with an eternal life and voila, phenomenal production numbers.

So you may or may not have children. Don't fret if you don't have kids, and don't fret if they are somewhat more of a pain than they are a blessing in your life. You just never know how kids will turn out in life. I am sure that the adults of our childhood days, shook their collective heads wondering if any of us would make it to our next birthday. And yet here we all are! That is Gods grace, for sure.

Also, I am sure that a lot of us probably have looked at our lives as we have been growing up and have wondered why we are even here! Well, you are reading this study aren't you? And for what purpose?

Each person stands or falls on the basis of the content of their own soul. The content of your soul will be the basis of your evaluation when you stand before Christ at the Judgment Seat of Christ. There, you will either receive additional blessings for eternity, or you won't receive anything extra.

Your spiritual future depends on your attitude toward God, Christ, and doctrine. It all comes down to the doctrine in your soul, and what you do with it from day to day.

Psa. 72:16

16 May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth. NASB

Gen. 1:11

11 Then God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with seed in them, on the earth'; and it was so. NASB

We can learn spiritual principles from just about everything in life. Mountain tops aren't known for their agriculture production, but they are a good reference for the vast environment of the spiritual life.

Likewise, when God restored the earth, it was for the purpose of producing spiritual crops. The actual physical agriculture crops are a good parable aid for teaching Gods intended production, which is the spiritual life.

You are not here on this earth to exist only in this life. You are here to prepare yourself for eternity.

Your preparation comes only from a daily study of Gods Word.

Pursue anything in life and you may or may not be successful, and any earthly success at best, will only be temporary.

Pursue Gods Word, and your spiritual success is guaranteed, and it will last forever.
