Now take note. When you ignore Gods mandates to learn doctrine, then you are in effect condemning yourself to the extreme dangers of spiritual oblivion. And even though this term may not mean anything to you, it is a condition that you should not want, because it is extremely dangerous, personally, for you.

In Ephesians, we studied the scar tissue of the soul.

And if you recall, or unless you do not know, the soul has to be fed nourishing food. Bible doctrine is that nourishing food. Anything else, or rather the lack of doctrine, means the soul will starve.

But worse than starving, the unhealthy soul develops a scarring tissue which grows over the soul. This scar tissue, in effect, blacks out the soul. And when blacked out, then there is no light allowed through, and no light means no truth, and no truth, means death.

Pharaoh is the example given with regard to the person who defies God, rejects God, and then eventually dies.
