21 Evil [ra`] shall slay [muwth] the wicked [rasha`]: and
they that hate [sane'] the righteous [tsaddiyq] shall be desolate ['asham].
KJV-Interlinear
21 Affliction
will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. ESV
Evil brings about the downfall of evil. Wickedness brings about the downfall of wickedness. And the last phrase here introduces the overall principle of Gods judgment, which is that the haters of the righteousness condemn themselves, and are guilty by means of their own thoughts, intents and actions, and are empty of all that matters.
So many whine about God judging and bringing harm to people, totally overlooking the evil actions that they cause and bring upon others. But in fact, their own evil is the cause of their own demise.
God is truth and God is gracious and God is infinitely forgiving. But those who hate truth and therefore hate God, are themselves to blame for their own destruction.
Entry into Gods family and into heaven is easy. One merely has to believe in Christ. That is a thought process that takes but a fraction of a second, and yet people will live their entire lives, having billions and trillions of thoughts over the course of decades, and they will vehemently reject Christ at every turn, at every thought.
That is dramatic, and in itself requires a huge effort toward refusing truth.
One would think that most could not hold out over so long a time and with so much repetition of exposure to the gospel. And yet…
Therefore, if one is to look to placing blame on those who suffer from evil or from judgment, then you only have to look as far as the evil person who is getting the evil that they themselves caused, and therefore the judgment they deserve.
