7 The
angel [mal'ak] of the LORD [Yahovah]
encampeth [chanah] round about [cabiyb] them that fear [yare'] him,
and delivereth [chalats] them. KJV-Interlinear
7 The angel
of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. ESV
The angel of the Lord is preceded with the definite article, ‘the,’ thus referring to a specific individual. ‘The’ angel of the Lord speaks as God, identifies Himself with God, and exercises the responsibilities of God, Gen. 16:7-12; 21:17-18; 22:11-18; Exodus 3:2; Judges 2:1-4; 5:23; 6:11-24; 13:3-22; 2 Sam. 24:16; Zech. 1:12; 3:1; 12:8.
The word for angel, means messenger or message.
Encampeth, refers to the pitching of a tent around or near the individual, providing protection or a fortress or a home that is impregnable and totally secure.
Round about, means simply all around. The individual is surrounded on all sides by the tent or dwelling, of Gods protection.
For those who fear, specifies exactly who receives this protection. And the fear word, means deep and abiding respect, deep and abiding obedience, deep and abiding adherence to the mandates and expectations of God for the individual. This refers to the spiritually mature believer in Christ.
And finally the word for deliver means, arm, loose, armed, to put off, to make fat, to draw out, to equip, and comes to convey the concept of Gods provision and overall protection for the believer.
Bible doctrine is the message, which is Gods word, which comes from God, and is the mechanism by which man is established and armed with faith within Gods plan.
Bible doctrine is the written word of God. Jesus Christ is the living word.
The angel is the Lord is Jesus Christ in all of His essence, by which and through which we receive total protection and preparation and support from God.
Bible doctrine in the soul is the encampment and dwelliong of Gods power in the individual. The saturated soul with doctrine, learned by means of a daily study, is the source of ones strength and faith.
The soul is the place of the real person. What we think is what we are, and thus a spiritually mature person, is saturated within Gods encampment of doctrine within his actual self.
When a person rejects Christ, they as unbelievers, are destined to the Lake of Fire.
When a person believes in Christ, they are saved and thus possess an infinite blessing over that of unbelievers.
When a person advances to spiritual maturity through their daily study and application of doctrinal principles, they possess an infinitely greater blessing and privilege over those believers who do not advance within their spiritual lives.
Your objective and goal in life, should be to advance to spiritual maturity, and you accomplish that by means of a daily Bible study.
