thy sight, [paniym] O LORD, [Yahovah] my strength, [tsuwr] and my

14 Let the
words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Thy sight, O
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. NASB
The words of the mouth are those which are spoken and heard by all that are within listening range.
The meditation of the heart refers to the thoughts of ones soul.
And between the two, they need to be consistent in ones approach and attitude toward life.
Too many people think one thing and say another, or say one thing and think another. They are the hypocrites, the forked tongue people of the world. Their lives are full of lies and deceit. Their lives are aimed at impressing or confusing people or themselves.
However, it is God who is the ultimate judge of us all, and when he evaluates us, as He will one day, then our thoughts and actions need to be consistent in that He is the one who needs to be impressed, not other people.
Our life in this world is for but a short time, perhaps a few decades. Our life after this one, is eternal and will continue on forever. Forever is a very, very, very long time.
Nothing and no one in this world will decide your eternal life. God alone decides that. So the one to impress is God and no one else.
Your eternal life will make up more than ninety-nine-point-nine-nine-nine-nine-etc. percent (99.9999… percent) of your life.
Your current life will occupy less than point-zero-zero-zero-zero-etc-one percent (.0000…1 percent) of your life, or virtually nothing of your whole life.
To spend most of your time concentrating on the least part of your life is foolish or down right stupid.
To spend most of your time in preparation of the greater portion of your life is wisdom.
And God and your spiritual life is that best time invested in your eternal life.
Inconsistency in thought and deed, are a fools attempt to manipulate their current environment and life into something that they think they want.
Learning doctrine and therefore bringing your thoughts and intents and actions into sync with each other and with your life and with God, accomplish far more than you can on your own, and are in accordance with Gods plan for your life.
God is our strength and our redeemer.
The Old Testament has much to say about salvation and the spiritual life.
God is the strength or the rock, the solid foundation of ones life. That foundation is constructed by means of doctrine learned and metabolized into ones soul.
God is our redeemer. This speaks to mans need of a redeemer because of the weaknesses and flaws that man has incorporated in the life. Redemption, or salvation, comes from God alone and from no other source.
The God spoken of here is the second person of the trinity, the Lord, who is both God and man in the same person, namely the Messiah as promised back in the days prior to the Cross, all the way back to Adam and even back into eternity past when the divine plan was established.
