5 His ways
[derek] are always [`eth] grievous;
[chuwl] thy judgments [mishpat] are far above [marowm] out
of his sight: as for all his enemies, [tsarar]
he puffeth [puwach] at them. KJV-Interlinear
5 His ways
prosper at all times; Thy judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all
his adversaries, he snorts at them. NASB
His, is a reference to the wicked person, the person who is indifferent toward God or who ignores God as such, or to the person who pursues some invented deity of his choosing.
His ways prosper, means that in his own mind, what he is doing is right and proper for his own intended purpose in life.
The word for grievous, 'chuwl,' can be defined as prosperous, but is means to dance, to twist, to bear, to tremble, to be defiled and to be filthy. And it comes to mean one who sees his wrong ways as right, having twisted the truth, dancing around the truth, in order to justify his own views.
Politicians, celebrities, elites, poor folks, terrorists, everyone who lacks truth in other words can follow this pattern.
Truth, which is the embodiment of Gods word, is high, is beyond the views, is out of the sight of the wicked person. They lack truth in their soul and therefore lack the understanding necessary to be able to differentiate and discern fact from fiction.
Fish into monkeys, monkeys into humans is an absurd concept, but the wicked person, the one who lacks doctrine in their soul, sees this concept as perfectly logical and correct. You can make the same comparison for marriage vs shacking up, or relationships between men and women vs men and men or women and women, or socialism vs capitalism, and so forth.
All divine establishment principles are twisted into the absurd and therefore the wicked cannot see the flaws of their ways, nor can they see the destructive repercussions of their beliefs. The same applies with the gospel vs alternate religious beliefs, or doctrine vs philosophies.
You cannot understand what you do not know. You cannot know what you have not learned. You cannot learn what you do not study.
And with all of his false views, the wicked puffs or pooh-poohs all of his enemies. He scoffs, he blows out a breath of air, he spits in the air with contempt and arrogance and false confidence, he dismisses with disdain.
The idea here is that the wicked can sweep everyone away with a mere puff. The wicked are vastly overconfident and vastly overestimate their own position in life.
But be careful when you look in the mirror, that you are not looking at such a person.
