Isaiah 28:24

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

24 Doth the plowman [charash] plow [charash] all day [yowm] to sow [zara`]? doth he open [pathach] and break the clods [sadad] of his ground ['adamah]?   KJV-Interlinear

24 Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? Does he continually open and harrow his ground?   ESV

And so Isaiah begins his explanation with a rhetorical question. Does the farmer do only one thing in order to obtain a harvest, namely plow all day long, day after day, and nothing else?

And of course the answer is, no. The farmer does many things in order to obtain a harvest.

And without explanation, the point is, that God likewise does many things in order to complete His plan. Likewise God does many different things with many different people, as will be explained in the next several verses.

People are different.

Some are smart and some not so smart. Some learn quickly and some not so quickly. Some are interested in doctrine, and some are not interested. Some live well within their spiritual parameters, and some do not.

And so it goes. As people are different, so too, God deals with people differently in order to bring them along, or as it were, to demonstrate that they will, or will not, repent no matter what He does.

History is filled with the many different applications of Gods grace as well as Gods justice, and as they apply to each individual.

God, like the farmer, does not do only one thing, namely give gifts. But, God deals out punishment when it is appropriate, too.

God does many things. Each tailored appropriately for each individual.

What God does for me, He will not do for you. What God does for you, He will not do for me.

Each person is an individual and God deals with each person as is necessary for the betterment of their life.

So, if you see obviously evil people appearing to be getting the better of the deal, do not fret. God has a plan for them, and if they change then all the better for them.

But concentrate on Gods plan for you, not on His plan for them. Their plan will not help you. But Gods plan for you, will.
