1 What [tis] shall we say [ereo] then [oun]? Shall we continue [epimeno] in sin [hamartia], that [hina] grace [charis] may abound [pleonazo]?   KJV-Interlinear

1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?   ESV

Paul has already explained how Adam committed the first sin, placing humanity in a trap. However, each individual person is not condemned by Adams sin, but by the commission of their own sins, made from their own decisions.

Adam committed a single sin, while humanity has committed innumerable numbers of sins throughout history.

Christ committed a single act of grace, which not only covered Adams sin, but paid the price of, and covered all, sins from Adam to the end of time.

Grace abounds, because it accomplished more. That does not mean that we are free to sin in order to get more grace.

When we believed in Christ, we were baptized with the Holy Spirit. That baptism, is a real baptism, unlike water baptism or some other form, which are merely symbols or teaching aids to describe the true baptism of the Holy Spirit.

In baptism, we symbolically joined Christ in His death and in His resurrection. The death was to sin. Sin is therefore death. And to continue to sin, or to return to sin, is in effect returning to death, or trying to live in death. However, death is not life, and trying to make alive something that is dead, is not only impossible, but completely ridiculous.

Grace is the policy of God, and the product of Christ’s work on the cross.

Grace is not a product of sin.

Sin is a prison, and grace is the, get out of jail, card.

When someone is released from prison, why would they want to go back to prison? To do so would mean that you are doing nothing more than going through a revolving door, in and out, in and out, which would mean that you are going nowhere.

Therefore, there is no rational logic in sinning as an attempt to gain more grace.

Grace is life, and to gain more grace, one has to function in life, not in death.

These studies, are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, that is easily accessible, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.

To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment. No one else can study for you. You have to do that yourself.
