Revelation 19:3

3 And[kai] again[deuteros] they said,[ereo] Alleluia. [allelouia] And[kai] her[autos] smoke[kapnos] rose up[anabaino] for[eis] ever[aion] and ever.[aion] KJV-Interlinear

3 And a second time they said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke rises up forever and ever." NASB

When evil is destroyed the cheers will go up. And in the aftermath of the destruction of Satan's plan and intricate policies and plots, the cheers will be renewed. Just as when you are watching a sporting event and near the end of the game your team is ahead and about to become the winner, and you cheer, and then when the game finally ends, and you cheer again, you have two sets of cheers, one as it ends and then one after the game is over.

Those who loved the policies of evil were crying and those who were the victims of the policies of evil, will have the final celebration.

The smoke rising forever, is an expression for the permanency and irreversible status of Gods judgment.

Never again will Satan have his way. Never again will evil rule. It will be gone and it will be gone forever.

Even when Satan is released from prison, at the end of the Millennium, and attempts to lead another rebellion, that attempt will be quickly put down and ended, before it gets underway.

So, the effective life of evil will end at the end of the Tribulation, never to raise its ugly head again.

What is going to happen during the Millennium when Christ is physically present and ruling here on earth, is apathy. For those 1000 years, an apathy will enter into the public mind and a huge population will grow up near the end of the Millennium, never having known war or famine or poverty or anything other than prosperity. And even though Christ is present in the flesh, a large segment will reject him as Christ and Savior.

That rejection will not cause an evil such as that which Satan led, but only an indifference. That will make them a prime target for Satan when he is released. And unfortunately the population will draw immediately to Satan, never having known him, rather than to Christ who they will have been living with on this earth for many, many years (decades and centuries).

Prosperity and the lack of evil does not make salvation and the spiritual life automatic. People still need to believe in Christ and be positive toward doctrine, even in the Millennium.

But for now, at the end of the Tribulation and the beginning of the Millennium, the cheers will reach a crescendo of pandemonium and celebration as Satan and evil and all that goes with it, will be gone, and gone forever.
