You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
1 John 2:20-21
20 But [kai] ye [humeis] have [echo] an unction [chrisma] from [apo] the Holy One [hagios], and [kai] ye know [eido] all things [pas]. 21 I have [grapho] not [ou] written [grapho] unto you [humin] because [hoti] ye know [eido] not [ou] the truth [aletheia], but [alla] because [hoti] ye know [eido] it [autos], and [kai] that [hoti] no [pas] [ou] lie [pseudos] is [esti] of [ek] the truth [aletheia]. KJV-Interlinear 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. NASB
It is not only the last hour (segment of time) in human history (Church Age) before the revealing of the anti-christ, but it is also the last hour (segment of time) for your personal life here on earth.
Just as we do not know the exact amount of time we have remaining in our dispensation, so also, we, each of us, do not know how much time we have remaining in each of our individual lives. We could be here only for another hour, or a day, or a decade or more.
What God has given us is the perfect form of life, based on truth, and reality. Not based on wishes and invented spiritual alternatives of our preference.
All three members of the Godhead are involved in the plan of God. All three members of the Godhead are working things for our benefit. Likewise, since God is truth, then all that they do is true and right and perfect. There is no room for error - there is no error in Gods plan for each of our personal lives.
God has given us the perfect pattern for learning spiritual phenomena. It is not based on our intellect. It is not dependent on our IQ. It is not affected by our individual ability to learn or understand. In fact any and all human characteristics are not even relevant when it comes to learning Bible doctrine and growing up spiritually.
Just as God did all of the work in creating the divine plan, and carrying it out, in accomplishing the plan of salvation, so also, God does all of the work of our spiritual growth. What do we do? Just believe in that which we are taught, and then utilize what we have learned in our daily activities in life.
Acts 10:38
38 'You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, NASB
John 1:33-34
33 'And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.' 34 'And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.' NASB
1 John 3:24
24 And the one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And we know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. NASB
1 John 2:27
27 And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. NASB
2 Cor. 1:21-22
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, 22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. NASB
We are almost at verse 27 in our current study, but as you just read that verse above, you know, or should know, that it is the Holy Spirit which lives inside of you (given to you at the moment of your salvation in Christ), and it is the Holy Spirit who accomplishes all of the teaching mechanisms and disclosures of truth to your human spirit.
Doctrine comes from God. The Holy Spirit communicates doctrine and makes it clear to your human spirit. You listen and believe. At that moment the doctrine you learn is transferred into your soul to begin the construction of a temple, a palace, and spiritual fortress inside of your soul. This is the foundation of your true life.
Prov 9:1
1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; NASB
Prov. 24:3-4
3 By wisdom a house is built , And by understanding it is established; 4 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. NASB
Then you have to live your life daily and in accordance with the things which you have learned from the Bible. This is the exercise of your spiritual muscle, the furnishing of your palace, the strengthening of your spiritual fortress in your soul. But all things in this world are not of a spiritual nature. Everything you do must be done inside the fellowship sphere in order to be beneficial to your spiritual life.
1 Cor. 10:23
23 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify . NASB
1 Cor. 14:26
26 What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification . NASB
And so, all that you do in life, whether changing diapers, or inventing spaceships, whether in your active social life or in the privacy of your own thoughts, do all that you do from the position of power and strength, and do it in a manner that is compatible with your spiritual life. Do all from within the sphere of your fellowship status.
That way your life is based on truth, not on lies. Only truth will become the ingredients for the construction project within your soul. And only truth (and the product of truth) will continue with you into eternity and qualify you for greater blessings when you stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ for the only meaningful evaluation of your entire life.
