Suffering is designed to get your attention
Suffering is designed to re-direct your attention from what you are doing, to what you should be doing

There are three forms of suffering
Suffering for judgment
Suffering for discipline
Suffering for blessing

Unbelievers are those people who have not believed in Christ
Believers are people who have believed in Christ, who are referred to as Christians

Two categories of believers
Those who are not advancing to spiritual maturity
Those who are advancing to spiritual maturity

Unbelievers and suffering
Suffering for judgment – designed to get their attention and lead them to faith in Christ -
What they have is never going to get any better -
Only through faith in Christ can life get better

Believers and suffering
Disobedient believers – Christians who are out of fellowship, indifferent, or otherwise not advancing in their spiritual life
Suffering for discipline – designed to get disobedient believers back on track in their spiritual life
What they are doing, is on their own and will never improve their life or spiritual status

Obedient believers – Christians who comply with Gods mandates for being in fellowship and compliance with bible study
Suffering for blessing – designed to test their spiritual resolve
Designed to accelerate their spiritual growth
Designed to strengthen their spiritual muscle in faith
