Lesson # Zeph. 3:14-15 Study Material - Zeph. 3:14-15 You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth. Zeph. 3:14-15 14 Sing [ranan] , O daughter [bath] of Zion [Tsiyown] ; shout [ruwa] , O Israel [Yisra'el] ; be glad [samach] and rejoice [alaz] with all the heart [leb] , O daughter [bath] of Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim] . 15 The LORD [Yahovah] hath taken away [cuwr] thy judgments [mishpat] , he hath cast out [panah] thine enemy [oyeb] : the king [melek] of Israel [Yisra'el] , even the LORD [Yahovah] , is in the midst [qereb] of thee: thou shalt not see [ra'ah] evil [ra] any more. KJV-Interlinear 14 Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! 15 The LORD has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more. NASB Taking away judgments, is a clearing away of the disorder of the world. There is never any true happiness for anyone until the sin pattern of their life is removed. The sin pattern of life is not removed until there is an order placed in their soul which brings order to the disorder of a confused and empty soul. Bible doctrine is the only ingredient which can bring order to the soul. A day will come when the remnant's fears will give way to shouts of praise. The remnant in the Tribulation is a reference to all believers who have obeyed Gods commands. They will be very few in number. Just as Noah and his wife, his three sons and each of their wives (eight people total) were the only ones who went inside the Ark, so also in the tribulation there will be very few people (although more than eight this time) who will survive the Tribulation and the Second Advent, and enter alive, into the Millennium. Likewise throughout history, of the billions and billions of people who have ever lived, the vast majority who will have believed in Christ, will be negative toward God and negative toward the idea of studying and advancing in their spiritual lives. Of the ones who advance to spiritual maturity, these will represent a very few or a remnant of the total population of believers. This may include you. That is if you have the nerve, the patience, the perseverance to open your Bible up every day and study your way to spiritual maturity. Of course we know that studying is not all that is expected of you, you also have certain responsibilities which God expects of you in the function of your spiritual life. We put together a short check list in a prior study. That check list in listed in a separate study on the web site. Now here is the principle of todays lesson. When you advance to maturity, and hold that status throughout your life, then advance to heaven and stand before Jesus Christ and receive your evaluation (which will be phenomenal and beyond your wildest dreams), then you will experience that joy and happiness which is expressed in this passage. Now lets look at the meaning of this joy. The Tribulational believers will live for seven years, throughout the Tribulation. They will see the Rapture and, being left behind because of their negative attitude toward Christ, they will experience a huge emotional low in their life. They will begin to read the Bible. They will hear the two witnesses and eventually find Christ. They will most probably begin reading any and all prophecy books they can get their hands on and they will be even more dismayed and worried in their life as they see the prophecies coming true right before their eyes. They will stick with their studies. But as each day goes by, they will see the failure of the worlds economies, the famines, the shortages, the storms, the rampant crime, the complete melt down of society. They will face the economic pressures that the anti-christ will place on the human race and they will suffer greatly if they do not comply with the registration and worshipping commands of the current government. No registration, no ration card, no food, no trading, thus the ultimate of social ostracism and slow death by starvation. Many will survive in the black markets which will no doubt arise. Many will see the writing on the wall and they will put away stores of supplies and hide with the greatest of stealth and secrecy. They will hear the screams of their neighbors as they are hauled away, raped, tortured, murdered and so forth. They will have their own doubts as to what the world is coming to, and many will face the mental pressures of just wanting to go out into the public and let life end for them. This will last for seven years, with the most intense portion occurring during the last 3 ½ years. That is a long time when there will not be even a single country on the earth that will come to free you. During our World War I and II, and other more current wars, people had and have, the west to look to for their freedom. But in the Tribulation, all countries will be equally evil and there will not be any source of freedom fighting force on earth to rescue anyone. Life will be a continually intense and pressure filled existence. Never knowing if your time of discovery will come and then you will be hauled up out of your hiding place and then the ultimate fear of torture is applied to you. So you wait and you wait. You lose sleep. You lose weight. You live in constant fear. You have difficulties with your family or whomever is with you, because emotions run high and people crack under the pressure. Holding everything together is almost too much to bear. And ... You study your Bible, because that is all you have. Words on a page seem like they aren't enough, but again, that is all there is to hold on to in life. Then suddenly the world becomes dark. You have totally lost track of time. Christ appears in tremendous light, like the light of a thousand suns (without the heat), and with Him is a huge army of people all riding white war horses, filling the skies. The cavalry have arrived. The world shakes tremendously and you cannot even stand up because of the tremendous earthquakes which are now occurring. The sounds of the war are overwhelming, because you now are hearing not the sounds of oncoming evil, but the sounds of Christ's judgment against all evil. Then all is quiet and you come out of your hiding place and see angels moving about announcing the end of evil and the return of Christ. You have been hiding for so long. You have been thoroughly exhausted because of the life of fear, lack of sleep, and the pressure of just surviving with those who are with you. And now all that stress like a ton of bricks on your shoulders has been totally removed from you. That is just the beginning of the 'joy' which those Tribulational believers will experience. Now they know that they have indeed survived and Christ is now back here on earth. Happiness will be overwhelming. Many will fall down in tears. That is what you can expect in your happiness if you stay the course in your spiritual life. What awaits you is overwhelming. Many will not see this, nor will they believe it. Many will go the way of those whom Christ will deal with in judgment. They will lose. But for the few, the remnant, the ones who stick with their spiritual studies and spiritual responsibilities all of their natural life (however long that might be), then there awaits for them an equally overwhelming appearance of Christ in their lives along with tremendous blessings that all negative believers will not receive.
