Zech. 14:10-11

10 All the land ['erets] shall be turned [cabab] as a plain [`arabah] from Geba [Geba`] to Rimmon [Rimmown] south [negeb] of Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim]: and it shall be lifted up [ra'am], and inhabited [yashab] in her place, from Benjamin's [Binyamiyn] gate [sha`ar] unto the place [maqowm] of the first [ri'shown] gate [sha`ar], unto the corner [pen] gate [sha`ar], and from the tower [migdal] of Hananeel [Chanan'el] unto the king's [melek] winepresses [yeqeb].

11 And men shall dwell [yashab] in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction [cherem]; but Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim] shall be safely [betach] inhabited [yashab]. KJV-Interlinear

10 All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but Jerusalem will rise and remain on its site from Benjamin's Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's wine presses. 11 And people will live in it, and there will be no more curse, for Jerusalem will dwell in security. NASB

With the enemy defeated, then the reconstruction of the Kingdom of God for the Millennium, will begin immediately.

The lands all around Jerusalem will be leveled into an vast plain. Today most of that territory is a rugged, hilly, and mountainous region. No more! All of those rough geographic elements will collapse into a plain that will run from Geba, Josh 18:24, which is a few miles north of Jerusalem, to Rimmon, Josh 15:32; 19:7, which is about thirty miles south of Jerusalem. This is typically the region of central and southern Israel of today.

Even the Mount of Olives, which sits next to Jerusalem, will disappear and become a part of this vast plain.

The city of Jerusalem will be lifted up, such that it will sit on higher ground, than all of the surrounding area. People will be able to see the city of Jerusalem from many, many miles away.

One quick note here, if Christ can level the ground for miles, then isn t it possible that He could have reformed the world at other times in history? And for this I am suggesting that the seven continents just might have been formed during the flood of Noah. Just a thought. The accepted theory of our day goes against this idea, but then who can be that sure!

Anyway, with the huge river running from Jerusalem to the east to the Dead Sea and then south to the Red Sea, and from Jerusalem, west to the Mediterranean. This vast plain region will become probably the best farm land around, as well as the best location for home sites for a vast population who will live there in the Millennium, as well as the best trading location in the world, for commerce.

Jerusalem or the central city is described by its outer borders, which follow the original walls of the old city.

Starting on the north wall, from Benjamin's gate, Jer. 37:13, to the first gate, Neh. 12:39, then to the corner gate 2 Kings 14:13, Jer. 31:38. These dimensions would give the breadth of the city from east to west.

Then the east wall, from north to south, the dimensions run from the tower of Hananeel, Neh. 3:l, which was at the northeast corner of the north wall, to the king's wine presses, Neh. 3:15, at the southeast corner of the city.

Most maps of the original Jerusalem, have these points marked out on them.

Only two dimensions are given, which indicates not the outer boundaries, but the orderliness and structure of the city as it grows during the next one-thousand years of the Millennium. Its original walls and its original design go back to Gods original plan and design, and do not follow the plans of Satan nor humanity.

The region is now set for an influx of people, either those who have been delivered from the evils of the Tribulation, or of people who are yet to be born and of whom will choose to live close to Jerusalem.

The population of the region will grow to large numbers and the curse, or the prejudices that have plagued the residents of the region throughout he ages, will no longer exist. Peace and prosperity, security and certainly a great life will be there for the taking, for all who choose to live in or near, Jerusalem.

Today, in Israel, one risks the loss of ones life by just visiting the region, what with the violence that exists there on nearly a daily basis. But in the Millennium, the stigma and insecurities of living there will no longer exist.

No one knows just how many people will be delivered at the Second Advent. It could be just a few people, or a few dozens of people, or even several thousands of people, from around the world. But regardless of the starting population, by the end of the Millennium, the population in the region will probably number into the many, many tens of millions of people, if not in the billions. This no doubt will be the largest metropolitan area in the world.

Regardless of what the population counts may or may not be, the important thing to recognize here is the pre-preparation, which comes from Christ. Even in the beginning of the Millennium, when no one owns anything, the land is being prepared for its future occupants. No one will lose their home because of a need for a park, or road, or school, or anything that some government deems necessary.

Once you have something, you will own it, or you should own it, without risk of loss, forever.

The Millennium will not only be different from our time, with regard to time, temperature, seasons, and so forth, but also, in how it will be administered.

Christ has known of everyone s needs since eternity past, and He has made provision for those needs. Today we rely on faith and living our life from day to day, as we see the revelation of His provision in our individual lives. In the Millennium, that provision will be more dramatic and apparent.

For those folks, it will be a refreshing change from the drama and terror, and stressful days of life during Armageddon. After living through tremendous stress, and successfully passing the extreme stress tests that God applies in ones life, then having tremendous prosperity always turns out to be very good medicine.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
