Daily Bible Study

Psalm 37:24

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

24 Though he fall [naphal], he shall not be utterly cast down [tuwl]: for the LORD [Y@hovah] upholdeth [camak] him with his hand [yad].   KJV-Interlinear

24 though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.   ESV

The context of these last few verses, is the ‘good’ man. The emphasis is on the word, good. This is a reference to the spiritually mature individual, which most people believe that they are, but really are not. Because the spiritually mature individual is one who has grown up in their spiritual life by means of a daily study of the word of God. The daily study comes through instruction and is never self-taught.

This is something that most people simply do not do.

And therefore the principles of these last couple of verses do not apply to their fullest extent.

Though he fall, is a reference to the many and inevitable misfortunes that will arise in a person’s life. Everyone who has ever been born alive and has grown up in this world has or will face disappointments, reverses, setbacks, misfortunes, calamities, anything that can possibly go wrong in life.

And so we all face disasters large and small. But all of these things are attributes of this physical world. And remember that the physical world is only temporary, just as your life in this world is temporary.

You were born, you will live your life, and then you will die and leave this world. After that your life will continue on, and if you are a Christian, then you will live your life in heaven, forever and ever. So your life after this life is infinite, and that makes this life very temporary.

And when something is temporary, such as your life, then all aspects of the temporary, are temporary.

So any misfortunes or disappointments or reverses or calamities or whatever that occur in this life, are only temporary.

And of course these principles apply to believers in Christ only.

As far as unbelievers go, the difficulties they face in this temporary life will only become greater difficulties, which will be permanent difficulties in the lake of fire.

But as far as Christians are concerned, any and all difficulties that arise in this life will go away and will be replaced with greater things in the next life.

And since all Christians are in God’s hands, then all Christians are protected, within the framework of God’s plan.

There will still be a difference between immature believers and mature believers. And that difference will of course be within the scope of the eternal rewards, or lack of them, which Christ will provide at the resurrection.

And the only other difference will be in the quality of life that the person will have within his life. And that quality of life is completely dependent on whether you are functioning within your spiritual life or not.

Blessings follow the spiritually obedient believer. While problems typically follow the spiritually disobedient believer.

And of course everyone has their problems but the big difference is whether they are problems for blessings, or problems for cursing’s.

Problems for blessings are designed to advance the spiritual growth of the believer who is already moving forward.

Problems for cursing’s are designed to redirect the believer who has gone off track, and get them back into their spiritual life.

These studies are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever. To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment. No one else can study for you. You have to do that yourself.
