Life in the next life, is extremely important. It lasts forever. To do nothing about it would be a huge irresponsibility and failure in ones life. To say nothing about it to others would likewise be a huge irresponsibility. Do-gooders, self-righteous types, political correctness, fear of offending, are all excuses for irresponsibility, yet those folks will criticize and comment, but in reality do nothing. Better to offend someone, if that is what it takes, to save their life, than to do nothing. The righteous, and we studied the various categories of the righteous and the wicked, in yesterdays study, but the righteous, which technically includes all believers, but more specifically, those who advance in their spiritual lives, all have the potential of receiving an inheritance which will last forever. What inheritance? When this universe is destroyed at the very end of human history, then a new universe will be created and combined with heaven. Our universe now, is huge, and actually beyond huge, but when combined with heaven it will be mind-bogglingly huge, even far beyond comprehension. That is our inheritance. But more than that, we will also receive rewards, which too are beyond imagination. These could be physical talents or abilities, mental talents or abilities, artistic talents or abilities, innovative talents or abilities. Pretty much anything that people can be and do now, will be enhanced and available as rewards. And this list is not even limited to ones imagination, it goes far beyond that. Not to mention, promotions, status, ranks, memberships, privileges, or anything else you can think of. So, eternity is so vast, and the implications for believers who advance to spiritual maturity, is so beyond vast, it is more than reasonable to assume and know that ones daily study is extremely important. And the funny thing is, that a daily study is simply listening, reading, learning, and then doing as doctrine instructs, which by the way is listening, reading, learning, and so forth. It is not rocket science, nor is it an oppressive demand on ones time. And yet, far too many people, Christians no less, simply will not do it. Far too many more people refuse to believe in Christ, which by the way, a belief is a mere thought and takes only a second, if that, to believe. How can one go through an entire life and remain stubborn and refuse to believe in Christ? But then with Christians, how can they go through life and never get with a daily study? Is eternity and its inheritance, not that important? Do people think they can do nothing and still receive an inheritance, especially when the Bible clearly indicates that they will not? And then as for you, you who are reading this. Will you see the light and resolve to begin and stick with a daily study, which by the way is right in front of you? Or, do you have an excuse for something better? What is better than the Bible?
