In contrast to the wicked, the meek is a reference to those who have the inner resources of Gods wisdom, because they have pursued and learned doctrine, rather than pretended to have that which they do not have.
The wicked, or anyone who lacks Bible doctrine, which could easily be you, and therefore lacks the inner resources of the spiritual life. And when those resources are lacking, then frustration, anxieties, worries, stresses, angers, pride, haughtiness, and so forth, have control over ones life.
The meek, is not the weak person or the poor person, but the one who possesses confidence through the knowledge and understanding that comes with learning doctrine, and therefore from advancing in ones spiritual life.
The spiritually aware person possesses a calmness, a relaxed mental attitude, consideration and tolerance, and much more. But these things are the result, of spiritual growth, they are not spiritual growth.
