Psalm 24:1

1 A Psalm [mizmowr] of David. [David]

The earth ['erets] is the LORD'S, [Yahovah] and the fulness [malo'] thereof; the world, [tebel] and they that dwell [yashab] therein. KJV-Interlinear

A Psalm of David.

1 The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it. NASB

Back in Psalm 19, the glory of God was seen in the heavens. Here it is seen in the earth, the whole earth.

The earth belongs to God. All of its inhabitants belong to God.

There is no foreman, no third party custodian, no manager, but only God who owns and operates this world.

This psalm portrays the path to God, the path to the one and only deity.

But who owns the world? Who owns the universe?

It is all a part of some overwhelming natural force? It is all a part of some event that occurred without design? Is it all a part of some sort of joint ownership or competition between super powers or super gods? Do various aspects of life rule various aspects of nature? Is there a wind god, an earth god, a god of the sea, a god of the sun? Is there a god protecting the ancestors and one converting the dead into other life forms, or perhaps renewing life again and again? Did all that is, evolve and improve over time with some path toward perfection and no more need for improvement?

No, to all of these.

The fullness, refers to everything, excluding nothing.

There is only one God, one plan, one design, one universe, and one earth. Life does not exist anywhere else.

There is only one owner of all that is, and that owner is God, who is the Lord, who is Jesus Christ.

There is only one sacrifice which is the cross and only one world in which it occurred.

There is only one God, one righteousness, one justice, one perfection.
