Psalm 18:42

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

42 Then did I beat [shachaq] them small as the dust [`aphar] before [paniym] the wind: [ruwach] I did cast them out [ruwq] as the dirt [tiyt] in the streets. [chuwts] KJV-Interlinear

42 Then I beat them fine as the dust before the wind; I emptied them out as the mire of the streets. NASB

David is speaking, but then the Lord if also speaking through David.

This verse continues the language of contempt, as prescribed by complete and fair and honorable justice against evil.

God is perfect righteousness. God is perfect justice. God has nothing to do with anything evil. God can have nothing to do with anything evil. God is not able to sin. God is able to not sin.

And in the end of it all, all of human history, then evil will be crushed and disposed of with little fanfare, with little ceremony.

And so, what and who is evil?

Evil is anyone who disregards Gods truth and purpose and plan and policy and procedures and anything that is legitimately spiritual.

And unfortunately that includes nearly everyone at some point in time. But of those who pursue Gods plan for their individual lives, then this end will not apply to them.

Of what value is the dust floating in the wind? None. Of what value is the dirt in the streets? None.

And that is what you have to look forward to, if you ignore God and His word.

The spiritual life is not what you say, or do, but it is what you think. And what you think must come from your daily study of Bible doctrine, while you are in fellowship. That is how, and the only way, you learn His will.

Then your proper thinking will dictate what you say and do, not the other way around.

But when the thinking is empty of truth, then dust is how you started, and dust is how you end. And that is the proverbial waste of a life.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
