7 But the
LORD [Yahovah] shall endure [yashab] for
ever: [`owlam] he hath prepared [kuwn] his throne [kicce'] for
judgment. [mishpat]KJV-Interlinear
7 But the
Lord abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, NASB
The enemies of God will fall and perish. The enemies of God will be destroyed and remain destroyed forever. The enemies of God, try as they may, will never rise to the level of God, nor gain any foothold in Gods plan.
And though all enemies of God come in many different flavors, whether subtle do-gooders or extremely wicked types, none of them will ever gain Gods favor or approval. And none will ever endure based on their chosen life pattern of thought or actions.
No one can define Gods will, nor re-invent Gods grace policies.
God has a throne. The throne is representative of the seat of power, sovereignty, authority, righteous, and justice.
Gods throne was prepared, 'kuwn,' meaning established, created, constructed, set up, for the purpose of issuing judgment.
Before creation, God needed no throne. He was the sole and ultimate authority, ruling over all that was, as far as eternity past was concerned.
But with the creation of life, and the ultimate development of evil, a judgment became necessary, therefore a throne was needed in order to define authority, and to make it very clear that there is a consequence to all thoughts and actions.
Satan tried to convince Eve, that there was no judgment, that she would not die. He lied and she was deceived because of her own foolish disregard for truth.
But nonetheless, a throne was set up long ago, and will remain until the final event of history, namely the Great White Throne of Christ. And from that throne will come the ultimate and final judgment against evil humanity.
But note one important principle, from that same throne comes mercy, and through Gods mercy, which is grace in action, we have received salvation by means of Christ's work on the Cross.
Therefore, Gods judgment discerns and distinguishes between salvation and condemnation and issues the appropriate result to each.
