Psalms 7:1

1 Shiggaion [shiggayown] of David, [David] which he sang [shiyr] unto the LORD, [Yahovah] concerning the words [dabar] of Cush [Kuwsh] the Benjamite [ben]. [Ben-yamiyniy] O LORD [Yahovah] my God, ['elohiym] in thee do I put my trust: [chacah] save [yasha`] me from all them that persecute [radaph] me, and deliver [natsal] me: KJV-Interlinear

A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, a Benjamite.

7 O Lord my God, in Thee I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me, NASB

Shiggaion, means to wander, or a wandering song, or a song sung while wandering aimlessly while hiding from danger, or a song sung while making up the lyrics as one goes along.

Cush is the a son of Ham and the father of Nimrod the builder of the Tower of Babel. And Benjamite means son of the right hand. Saul who was the evil king at the time of Davids wanderings was of the tribe of Benjamin.

The first psalm taught us that God has a plan. His plan calls for happiness's (plural) for each of our lives. Happiness's require a completeness of ones soul, of ones self. The completeness of ones self is accomplished by means of doctrine, by means of learning doctrine, by means of understanding doctrine and growing up and making truth the central foundation of your life.

Bible doctrine is the key to your life. You have to study it daily in order to learn it.

Psalm two taught us that man has a plan and that God has a plan. Mans plans (they are numerous) will all fail. Gods plan will succeed. Gods plan began in eternity past when one member of the trinity was assigned the title, Son of God. The divine plan centers around that person, the Son, who was to accomplish an eternal destiny for all who believe in Him. Rejection or indifference toward Gods plan is arrogance.

The soul is eternal, therefore the reasonable person will plan for the long term of his life (eternity), and not just the short term (this present life).

The third psalm taught us that the world is an enemy. The world does not care for your best interest. The world inundates each person with enticements and unfairness's, to distract you from God and Gods plan. It is easy to get caught up in the activities of ones life and forget or ignore God, but then the world surrounds you with an almost infinite variety of enemies, most of which you would never recognize as enemies, friendly such as they are. Your own attitude can be your worst enemy.

The fourth psalm teaches us to stand in awe of God, doctrine, and the spiritual life that He alone offers. Conform to His teaching and plan, and your life will be beyond better, and beyond anything that the world can offer.

Gods word, when learned, and adopted for your daily life, promotes peace and confidence and rest within your inner and total essence.

The fifth psalm teaches that God listens to those who are obedient to Him, and as for those who pursue their own agenda in life, there is no audience with God.

The sixth psalm teaches that there are pressures galore in this world, and they will enter into our lives sooner or later, but for those who pursue God as their solution, and not the world as their solution, then an answer will definitely come into their lives. But patience and perseverance are the order of the day as the world will sometimes not let up until you give up and curse God.

Then we come to psalm seven, and here we will find out that this world is nothing but a place of wandering. It is not home, and it is not a place of destiny, but only temporary. Therefore don't place your trust in such a place where nothing permanent can be acquired.

Therefore place your trust in God. Trust means to flee to for protection, to confide in, to trust for ones security.

God gave us the written word for our edification. We edify ourselves by becoming enlightened, informed, educated, instructed. To edify means to build up ones inner resources, to construct a building in the soul.

Bible doctrine is the construction material for the edification or construction of the spiritual building within your soul. That spiritual building is your mansion, temple, fortress, presence before God. It is the place of perfect trust and protection and support.

For the world is there and the world has nothing but evil in mind for you.

If you have been following the Revelation study, then you know that our study of history from Satan's point of view, is one of pure organized corruption and evil. In that there is nothing for you. Nothing!

Now we find ourselves in the Christmas season. A time of reflection and thanksgiving and of giving.

So, while you are sitting before your tree of gifts, remember that it is Christ who gave us the ultimate gift, that of eternal life and protection even while we live in this world.

Another year has passed and is coming rapidly to a close. I know that many have had a difficult time this last year, but in Christ, the tough times are nothing as He has far more to offer than anything the world can take from you.

From my family and our foster children whom we raise, we would like to thank you all for your faithful support of this daily study, and wish to you and yours, the very merriest of Christmas's.

And now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you without blemish before the presence of His glory, with exceeding joy. To the only wise God, even Jesus Christ. To whom be glory and majesty, dominion and power, before time, now and forever. Amen.
