Prov. 12:13-15
Lesson # Prov. 12:13-15
Study Material - Prov. 12:13-15
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Proverbs 12:13-15 13 The wicked [ra] is snared [mowqesh] by the transgression [pesha] of his lips [saphah] : but the just [tsaddiyq] shall come out [yatsa] of trouble [tsarah] . 14 A man [iysh] shall be satisfied [saba] with good [towb] by the fruit [pariy] of his mouth [peh] : and the recompence [gamuwl] of a man's [adam] hands [yad] shall be rendered [shuwb] [shuwb] unto him. 15 The way [derek] of a fool [eviyl] is right [yashar] in his own eyes [ayin] : but he that hearkeneth [shama] unto counsel [etsah] is wise [chakam] . KJV-Interlinear 13 An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, But the righteous will escape from trouble. 14 A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, And the deeds of a man's hands will return to Him. 15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel. NASB
'Who thinks his neighbour nothing knows,
And he alone can see,
Is but a fool, for we perhaps
Know even more than he.'
The above quote is in my notes, but I am not sure where it came from. It speaks volumes of just how blind the negative person really is. Proverbs paints a clear picture of what exactly a negative person is really like.
Their soul is empty of doctrine. Even though people who grow up with some influence from Bible doctrine, are evil if they live their lives out of fellowship. Most people live their lives perpetually out of fellowship. Most people haven't a clue as to what spiritual fellowship really is.
Bible doctrine has an influence on the whole world in many ways. People know right from wrong, good from evil, proper norms and standards of society from improper social standards, crime from honesty and so forth.
These differences were not developed by man, but communicated from God since the time of Adam. As part of the establishment principles of life, they provide some semblance of stability in the jungle of this world. But despite knowledge of all of this, the negative person who lives their life out of fellowship (all unbelievers and all negative believers), and who fill up their soul with all manner of 'worldly' wisdom, can think nothing more than the content of their soul.
Their lips can speak no more than they have within their soul. And when a person has chosen a pattern of life apart from Gods sphere of influence, then their own lips convict and condemn them.
The positive believer who is advancing toward spiritual maturity, will escape all of the problems of life. Why? Because he has learned to place his life in the hands of God and God does all of the driving through life.
Though we live in this devils world and we know that trouble will visit us sooner or later, and probably more often than we would like, that does not matter. Or it shouldn't matter. God has seen our life in detail since eternity past and God has made provision for us all. Continued study, consistent application of Gods commands to our life, patience, and faith will allow God to bring you through any problem. And you'll be there to witness that deliverance.
The positive believer pursues Gods will and produces accordingly. He is satisfied with the work that God has provided for Him. That will come back to him with tremendous dividends.
The negative person is satisfied with the work of his own hands, for the moment, but that satisfaction fades quickly. He is left wanting more and more, and in the end will never gain what he is after. His work is the production from the source of evil. And again, in the end, that will come back and haunt Him, and destroy him.
The negative person, refuses to see an alternate approach to life, the right approach through doctrine. He may chase after many alternate wrong approaches, but he is defiant against Gods truth. He continues to make wrong decision after wrong decision. No wonder that his life will never be a good one.
The positive believer, on the other hand, never looks inward to his own counsel, but looks to Gods counsel (from within his own soul), and uses that to guide his own life.
First counsel - believe in Christ.
Second counsel - live in fellowship.
Third counsel - study, study, study, listen and learn.
Fourth counsel - apply what you learn to your daily life, and gain more reinforcement in your understanding.
Fifth counsel - continue doing it all over, again and again, through your entire life, and end up a winner both now and in eternity.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
