Lesson # Prov. 12:4-5 Study Material - Prov. 12:4-5 You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth. Proverbs 12:4-5 4 A virtuous [chayil] woman [ishshah] is a crown [atarah] to her husband [ba`al] : but she that maketh ashamed [buwsh] is as rottenness [raqab] in his bones [etsem] . 5 The thoughts [machashabah] of the righteous [tsaddiyq] are right [mishpat] : but the counsels [tachbulah] of the wicked [rasha] are deceit [mirmah] . KJV-Interlinear 4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, But she who shames him is as rottenness in his bones. 5 The thoughts of the righteous are just, But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. NASB In everything in life, we can observe a lesson applicable to the spiritual realm. Every lesson applies to us all, not just to one segment or another of humanity. In heaven there will be neither male nor female, neither Jew nor Gentile. Each person who has ever lived on the face of this world, lives here either in the body of a male, or a female. Amazing how that seems so simple. The roles of male and female on this earth have to do primarily with biology. Again that should be obvious. But in the spiritual realm, the format of the soul of the individual is the same. We all have intellect, emotion, memory centers, conscience, volition, self consciousness, norms and standards and so forth. But there is one other difference between the sexes, and that is in the roles they play in this life. The wife is the subordinate to the husband for purposes of preserving the principle of authority in the family unit, which is meant to give the family stability, and to provide a foundation of instruction and training for the children. So that when they grow up, they will become good family parents in the next generation. The role of leader and follower is not a privileged nor a degrading position for either person, male or female, but was designed in such a way as to provide both spouses with a sound environment for a successful marriage. When the two encounter problems without a foundation in their spiritual lives, or become arrogant or selfish in some way, then that leads to friction, and that leads to trouble in the marriage. Each person lives their life as unto the Lord. Each individual is responsible for their own spiritual growth. How so? Each person can go to church or Bible study, but their volition is the doorway into their own soul. You can sit in class or read the study lesson, but if your volition is set to off, then you learn nothing. Consequently you do not grow up spiritually. When both parties of the marriage, the husband and the wife, grow up spiritually, then each of them has spiritual muscle and accessories of beauty in their respective souls. This success of the soul, is a crown to Christ, who provided the doctrine with which each person was able to grow up. Likewise, when the family is spiritually positive and spiritually successful, then that is tantamount to describing the wife as a crown to her husband. You cannot blame your wife for any failures you have in life. Likewise you cannot give credit for any successes you have in life either. All sources of success and discipline come from God. Your status of soul is the only thing which qualifies you for dealing with life's good and bad deals. Likewise, when the wife fails spiritually, then she is a grouch, so to speak. Could use other terminology here, but it is a family study ya know! A spiritually deficient person falls short in their relationship with life, and with others, regardless of whether they are male of female. Again, blame if any, goes to self, never to someone else. Just to make things clear. The female is not a subordinate in life. Every woman has volition, mentality and so forth. They have no excuse for not getting an education, learning a skill, and being able to support themselves in life. In fact, being prepared for life is a fundamental principle for everyone. Attempting to restrict or control the abilities of another is not a function of the spiritual life. Some macho men fail in this regard. Religions like Islam, are total failures when it comes to dealing with women. Anyone (whether male or female), who has to rely on putting down someone else, in order to advance themselves, is in fact the weaker of the two. God discerns the thoughts and intents of the soul. The souls thinking depends on its content. Your soul content is either from Bible doctrine and the principles contained therein, or your thinking comes from the influence of the world. True thinking comes from the source of Gods Word. When you have a consistent Bible study ongoing in your life, then your thinking will be consistent with Gods will. You think that which you learn and believe. On the other hand, when you lack Gods direction from within your soul, then your thinking is from the source of the sin nature within you. Your thinking is from the source of evil and therefore wicked in nature. Truth is never a lie. And a lie can never be the truth. They are mutually exclusive. The pattern of your life follows one or the other. You cannot have it both ways. 
Now is the time to post a prayer. End Of Lesson Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth. |
