Prov. 11:10-11
Lesson # Prov. 11:10-11
Study Material - Prov. 11:10-11
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Prov. 11:10-11
10 When it goeth well [tuwb] with the righteous [tsaddiyq] , the city [qiryah] rejoiceth [alats] : and when the wicked [rasha] perish [abad] , there is shouting [rinnah] .
11 By the blessing [Barakah] of the upright [yashar] the city [qereth] is exalted [ruwm] : but it is overthrown [harac] by the mouth [peh] of the wicked [rasha] . KJV-Interlinear
Prov. 11:10-11
10 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish, there is glad shouting. 11 By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, But by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down. NAS
Good produces prosperity, happiness, contentment, security, anything that is considered worthwhile in life. Bad produces destruction, conflict, anxiety, contention, destruction, inordinate competition (where none is necessary), selfishness, bias, discontentment, crime, arrogance, insecurity, unhappiness, poverty, anything that is considered unworthy in life.
Only good can come out of good. Only bad can come out of bad. Good cannot produce bad. Bad cannot produce good. In the spiritual realm these concepts are mutually exclusive. God is the author of good. Satan is the author of bad.
God designed all that is good and gives us information to help us to draw near to good. We have a choice. We are not ever forced to choose Gods opinion. Satan has defined bad and he uses deceit, deception, and disguise to attract people from God, to his pattern of life.
Naive people are those who do not have enough information to discern between the two. They do to have enough information because they reject God or are just indifferent and therefore have not sought to learn Gods Word.
However, naive people have generally developed morals and standards of living conduct, which have been heavily influenced in society by Bible doctrine through the many centuries, so they can and generally do have a good sense of what is right and what is wrong.
Some societies have sought to isolate God from their culture, and they generally have distorted ideas regarding right and wrong. This is where you'll find the mistreatment of women, of thugs ruling the land, of the many atrocities that can rule a society rather than human freedom and justice.
In a culture when there is a conflict between good and evil, and when good triumphs, then there is great celebration. The result of good being victorious means opportunity, prosperity and freedom for all. What can you not like about that?
When the bad is defeated, eliminated from society, then the crime, the prejudice, the unfair treatment, and so forth, go with it. There is great celebration because these bad things take away opportunity, freedom, prejudice, etc., and now that threat is gone.
When society reacts properly to these events, celebrating the victory of good, and celebrating the defeat of the bad, then society has a proper orientation to life, and the foundations for a strong spiritual tendency exist. When however, society celebrates the victory of bad, and the defeat of good, then there is severe spiritual deficiency along with doom, and poverty, and discontent. Misery is the order of the day.
Why would anyone wish for bad, when good is far better? If it reasonable to celebrate the benefits of good, and most people do. Why then do people ignore the source of good, Bible doctrine, in their life, and not study it daily in order to gain its treasures? Hummm! Better take a look in that mirror from time to time.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
