Prov. 11:5-6
Lesson # Prov. 11:5-6
Study Material - Prov. 11:5-6
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Prov. 11:5-6
5 The righteousness [tsadaqah] of the perfect [tamiym] shall direct [yashar] his way [derek] : but the wicked [rasha] shall fall [naphal] by his own wickedness [rishah] .
6 The righteousness [tsadaqah] of the upright [yashar] shall deliver [natsal] them: but transgressors [bagad] shall be taken [lakad] in their own naughtiness [havvah] . KJV-Interlinear
Prov. 11:5-6
5 The righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness. 6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, But the treacherous will be caught by their own greed. NAS
Righteousness smooths the way and delivers while wickedness causes its own demise. In life there are but two opinions - Gods, and all the others combined. Gods opinions are His own and they provide life, freedom, prosperity and everything that is good. Gods opinions are His alone, but He makes them available to each one of us if we are but willing to learn them, grasp them, possess them. They are not our per se, but they are ours to use if we use them within the proper context of the spiritual life.
Wickedness on the other hand excludes Gods opinions. Wickedness includes everything one can imagine to the exclusion of Gods will. We think we have our own way in life. Actually many people take the position that they reject God because they want to be free from His influence. They want to make their own way through life, and their perception is that if they 'limit' themselves to Gods will, then they are somehow limiting their own life. Couldn't be further from the truth.
Gods will actually gives us freedom and expands our horizons of life. Excluding Gods Word from our life places extreme limits and very tight boundaries on our life. Without Bible doctrine in the soul, one wanders through life in total darkness. How can anyone navigate through life in total darkness, with no reference points to be guided by.
Bible doctrine in the soul actually gives light to the soul and this illuminates life. Everything is clear and decisions are better made. If you can see your environment, then you can go where you should and avoid going where you shouldn't. In darkness this option is not available.
The person guided by his own opinions (those of the world) is destroyed by his own thoughts, by his own philosophies, by his own beliefs. A person out of fellowship is his own worst enemy.
A person guided by Gods Word, is not taking on the entire responsibility of making his own way through life. He has a map, a working compass, a point of origin, and a destination. Everything is clear and He can make decisions, better decisions, and he will see more, and therefore he will have more choices.
If you cannot see your options, then you cannot choose between them. If you can see your options, then you have more choices in life, and you can make a better life for yourself.
The person who rejects Gods Word, reinvents the wheel everyday. He is starting from scratch everyday. The person who is positive toward Gods Word, builds up his life, keeps adding to it, and continues to move forward, rather than going back to the beginning all the time.
The person who is positive toward God leaves the old opinions behind (those of the world), and uses Gods Word to guide him. Why try to redraw a map when you lack information on the terrain, when there is a perfect map already available and free for the taking?
The person who is positive toward God will end up a winner in life not because of his own thoughts or actions, but because he has embraced and is guided by those opinions which belong to God.
The person who is negative toward God thinks that he can do things his own way. He is negative, he is never satisfied, he is opinionated, complains a lot, he is stubborn, he is unteachable. He is his own worst enemy because he is the instrument of his own destruction. He is a fool. He will never accept responsibility for his own failure.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
