Lesson # Prov. 10:29-30 Study Material - Prov. 10:29-30 You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth. Prov. 10:29-30 29 The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, But ruin to the workers of iniquity. 30 The righteous will never be shaken, But the wicked will not dwell in the land. The ways of the righteous and the ways of the wicked are mutually exclusive paths. One does not ride over or even intersect with the other. There is not third path with which a person may choose. So all the worlds religions (excluding Christianity), all the worlds philosophies, all the worlds theories, all the worlds opinions consolidate into one single category - wickedness. A persons state is either with God or it is not. Gods way is a stronghold. It is 'the' stronghold of the universe. It is exclusive to mature believers, or those positive believers who maintain their fellowship status. Gods way is proprietary to mature believers. It is our exclusive right, our exclusively private ownership, and may belong to no one else. All those who have refused to believe in Christ (unbelievers) do not and can not have access to that which belongs to Christians. To them it is all foolishness. They lack the human spirit which comes to all who believe in Christ, therefore they lack that important component of their being which is the required link to a relationship with God. All believers in Christ do not have access to these rights. The rights of the mature believer are potential for all believers. All believers have equal access, equal opportunity to advance to spiritual maturity, and therefore have the right to then claim the proprietary ownership to that life which God has provided for mature believers. But those who reject God, those who ignore God, those who stray off into some other tangent philosophy of the world, or to no philosophy, will only see misery in their life, and lost blessings in eternity. The difference between access to Gods stronghold and the trap of a life of misery, is as simple as ones own volition. The righteous (mature believers) will never be shaken from their security, never be shaken from their rights as mature believers. The world cannot deny them Gods blessings. God is far more powerful than anything in this world.. If God wills a thing, then nothing and no one can prevent it. If God does not will a thing, then nothing and no one can make it happen. We can look around us in the world and we see the many events of adversity occurring out there. People are fighting one another over a piece of land in the Middle East. Terrorists just want to destroy anything and everyone who get in their way. There is no real objective, only hate. No real desire to have something for everyone, only selfish desires and manipulative lusts of the various leaders of these immoral groups. Just those who want to stir the pot of discontent. And they revel in the violence. What is their destiny? Misery throughout their lives. No good thing is desired. No good thing will ever be achieved. Now the events in the Middle East are pretty dramatic and do not affect most of us, at least directly, I am assuming. But our lives back here in the USA and anywhere else where there is relative calm from day to day, we have our own problems to deal with. Whether family, or socially, or work related, and so forth. The same principles of Gods stronghold apply to our lives. Half way around the world we have really good teaching examples of what life is like without God. But here in each of our respective homes, we need to keep focused on our individual lives. Stick to the daily study, stick to the fellowship state in our lives, and advance to and maintain our spiritual maturity status. The land wish to dwell in is that promised land - that land of flowing milk and honey. That land is of course spiritual maturity. Wicked people (everyone who does not pursue Gods Word), will never live in that land. They will never advance to spiritual maturity. There is only one way to attain spiritual maturity, and ignoring God, or pursuing some other god or philosophy is not that way. Thus far this proverb has been a very good proverb in that it teaches us that there are only two opinions in existence. There is Gods opinion and there is everything else. Gods Word is the only profitable path of life. Everything else will never achieve anything expected in life.
