Prov. 8:6-11

Lesson # Prov. 8:6-11
Study Material - Prov. 8:6-11

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Prov. 8:6-11

6 'Listen, for I shall speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will produce right things. 7 'For my mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips. 8 'All the utterances of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverted in them. 9 'They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge. 10 'Take my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choicest gold. 11 'For wisdom is better than jewels; And all desirable things can not compare with her.

God is the source of wisdom. The sin nature is the source of evil. Your life is controlled by potentially two sources - the sin nature is the first source who rules in the sphere of carnality and its policy is evil. Its production is wickedness whose strength is human good and weakness is sin.

The second source of control is the Holy Spirit who rules in the sphere of fellowship and His policy of grace. His production is divine good, His strength is wisdom derived from Bible doctrine, and there is no weakness in the spiritual life.

God speaks truth. In Him there are no lies, no deceits, no errors of any kind. Thus the contrast between good and evil. Evil seeks the darkness of a persons life. Wisdom seeks the light and reveals all things good and bad. Evil is the source of misery. Wisdom is the source of blessing and prosperity.

From God comes all things good and never anything bad. God has nothing but the best in mind for each of our lives. He does not desire that anyone should fail in life, but He does not interfere in the decisions people make in their lives.

Everything in the Bible is met to be understood. Everything in the Bible, its principles, concepts, commands, expectations, and so forth, are easily learned by anyone who may desire to learn them. Sometimes the Bible states that it is closed or sealed. Which merely means that it is their desire that closes it to themselves. Everything written is met to be learned, but people have to want to learn it, in order to understand it.

Everything that comes from God, comes in truth, from the source of righteousness. We interact with God from this common ground - Holy ground, by means of our fellowship status. Righteousness and justice are the two components of Holiness. This is the crossroads where we may meet God, and we do this by maintaining our fellowship status in accordance with God commands

If we approach God on dirty ground (sin in our life), then He will not see us, He will not receive us. We must first be cleansed and washed thoroughly before God will commune with us in our spiritual life.

He does not produce anything bad, and He will not deal with anything bad, therefore God will deal with each one of us only through the mechanism which he established for us to give us a clean status, which we call fellowship. That is we must first be believers in Christ, and second, we must be free of sin in our lives, thus the confession procedure which God has given us. There are more in depth studies concerning this subject on the Index page on the web site.

So if you had the choice of wisdom or jewels, then which would you choose? If you had a choice between wisdom or gold or an kind of wealth, then which would you choose? Of course the answer is, or should be obvious, wisdom is far more profitable than all the wealth in the universe.

From the source of wisdom you obtain wealth, not the reverse. You could seek wealth and ignore Gods word and you would eventually lose everything you have. On the other hand if you seek wisdom, then wealth in many forms will come to you with little effort on your part.

Now this does not mean that by studying your Bible and advancing to maturity in your spiritual life, that you will become a millionaire, but it does mean that God will provide all the things that you need in life and then some. You will not be made to just skimp by, but you will be comfortable and contented. Wisdom gives you many things including the common sense to make the daily decisions in life that are required of you for your social life, for your business life, for everything you do in life. God does not promote irresponsibility, so use some sense in your life as you apply the doctrine you have learned. Want to buy something, then save up your money. Don't want to get caught off guard when something breaks, maintain a savings account of some sort, so that you are prepared for those inevitable problems that you know will certainly come along.

Do not follow your lusts, wishes, desires for things in life at the expense of giving up your Bible study. With Bible study you not only have the wisdom to deal with life, just as any unbeliever might do from his own life's learned common sense, but as an advancing believer you will have resources that no unbeliever, that no negative believer, has at their disposal, and that is God handling of your daily affairs.

From a position of fellowship and spiritual growth, you have the clarity of thought and the freedom to make choices in life, but you also have Gods foreknowledge on your side as well. He knows of your decisions from since eternity past and has made provision for those decisions. Therefore you have these additional privileges and resources that others do not have.

As you sail through life, God is doing the driving of the ship. In contrast the unbeliever is driving his own ship in total darkness. Your destiny is far greater than that of those who do not have God in their lives. The difference being wisdom. Seek wisdom and all things will come to you. Ignore wisdom and all things will flee from you.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
