Leviticus 7:35-38
Lesson # Leviticus 7:35-38
Study Material - Leviticus 7:35-38
You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Lev. 7:35-38
35 'This is that which is consecrated to Aaron and that which is consecrated to his sons from the offerings by fire to the LORD, in that day when he presented them to serve as priests to the LORD. 36 'These the LORD had commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel in the day that He anointed them. It is their due forever throughout their generations.' 37 This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering and the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings, 38 which the LORD commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to present their offerings to the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai.
The conclusion of the rules prescribed for the ritual sacrifices and offerings, and their intent. The Levitical priesthood is herein provided for. They were not given a specific plot of geography in which to live. They were instructed to care for and to minister to the articles and scriptures of the Temple. Therefore their support was to come from that which was provided by the general population.
The Priests had their obligation. The people had their obligation. None of these sacrifices were optional, but mandated by God. The portions allowed to the priests had one further representation. That is when anyone believes in Christ, becoming a member of Gods family and therefore coming under the house rules of Gods house, then God is the provider for all of eternity.
Man has an obligation to worship and be thankful to the creator, Jesus Christ. Not based on the terms than man might think up in his own imaginations, but in accordance with the rules prescribed by God within the written scriptures.
The five basic sacrifices have been listed as well as the sixth (ordination), which is a collection of the first, second, and fourth sacrifice. Namely the burnt, gift, and sin offering. Salvation is necessary in order to be entered into eternal relationship with God. The gift concept is that of Gods free will gift to mankind. Man has no part in the process except through the thought process of faith (non-meritorious on mans part). And fellowship is mandatory in order to have a relationship with God and to grow up spiritually.
By complying with Gods commands we as believers will receive His blessing forever. Today we do not offer bulls and such in bloody sacrifices. Those were teaching aids presenting the picture of the Cross and the spiritual life, in a time prior to the Cross. Christ fulfilled all of their requirements while on the Cross, thus tearing the curtain (the veil of separation) that separated the holy outer room from the Holy of Holies (the inner room), permanently making way for man to have access to God without any barrier.
Today we have the same mandate of study, of worship (learning and applying doctrine to our daily lives as it were), of learning Gods word and growing up spiritually as a result in compliance with His will.
God will bless us and bring us prosperity as s appropriate for our lives. God will never forsake us, never forget us, will always be there in times of sadness and in times of happiness. Those who receive the anointing of the spirit (the ordination) will receive their portion (the best parts) from God forever. What is the ordination? Salvation by faith not works, the gift from God, and the forgiveness of all sins (fellowship) thus placing the believer in fellowship immediately upon their believing in Christ.
When we believe in Christ we are immediately in fellowship. We did not earn it, we did not deserve it, and for many this is the only time that they might be in fellowship, for a while at least. Once a person commits a sin they are out of fellowship and the confession process is needed in order to get back into fellowship. We have studied that process before and I think there is a separate special study on fellowship on the Index page. See link above.
On several occasions the priests are commanded to never leave the tabernacle during their service, but to remain there in fellowship throughout their service period. We too have that command, to never leave fellowship. Once we believe in Christ, we are in full time Christian service, and are to remain there forever. Of course we are human and need to learn of sin, confession, etc., so that we can get back into the fellowship sphere (the tabernacle of our soul) and to live our lives accordingly. You continue to do whatever it is that you do in life - change diapers, or technology, etc., and you do it as you would anything unto the Lord. You do your best as what you do. You leave everything in life up to God and He will bring to pass and guide you through your life. I'm sure that many of you reading this can look back on your life and see that many screw ups that you have done in your past and by hindsight see how you got out of those messes.
God has a policy of grace which gives us all many chances to recover from our failures. Unlike man who in human opinion will try to destroy us if we even look cross eyed at someone. The jungle is unforgiving and if you choose to live there rather than in the palace of God (fellowship), then you can expect to receive only misery and mental tension throughout your life. By the way do not confuse self righteous human opinion with valid law and order issues. The former is corrupt, the latter is a bonafide establishment principle.
Now is the time to post a prayer.

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
