You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 28:4
4 The flood [nachal] breaketh
out [parats] from the inhabitant [guwr]; even the waters forgotten [shakach] of the foot [regel]: they
are dried up [dalal], they are gone away [nuwa`] from men ['enowsh]. KJV-Interlinear
4 'He sinks a shaft far from
habitation, Forgotten by the foot; They
hang and swing to and fro far from men. NASB
Though man loves gold, he is not satisfied with
gold. Though man loves silver, he is not
satisfied with silver.
Though man loves what he has, whatever it may be, he
is never satisfied with what he has, but is driven for more and more, even
driven to the most isolated and remote places on the earth.
Man will find ore on the surface and though it is easy
to obtain, it still requires lots of work to refine it. Man will still dig and dig into the earth,
sinking a hole, a shaft, as far as is humanly possible.
Man encounters water and can go no further, then
abandons his mine never to return to it.
Man goes to isolated places. Places where man does not usually
travel. Out of the way places, places
far from normal habitation. Places that
will be soon be forgotten once they are abandoned.
Man will live in his sunken mines. He will hang from suspended ropes rather than
supporting himself with his feet.
God presents the situation filled with increasing
burdens, to see just how far man will go, in order to gather his precious
treasure from the earth.
And man places himself in extreme situations,
unnatural situations, dangerous situations, in places that no normal person
would travel to or live.
And in contrast there is Bible doctrine, something
that is far superior in value, and permanent, and of which is as close to your
possession as your positive attitude toward learning it.
Learning Bible doctrine is virtually effortless,
painless, and safe.
People will expend great quantities of effort in order
to obtain their desires the 'easy' way.
People will avoid learning Bible doctrine, because
well, there just doesn't seem to be enough work in it.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
