You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 23:6-7
6 Will he plead [riyb] against [`immad] me with his great [rob]
power [koach]? No; but he would put [suwm] strength in me.
7 There the righteous [yashar] might dispute [yakach] with
him; so should I be delivered [palat] for ever [netsach] from my judge [shaphat]. KJV-Interlinear
6 'Would He contend with me by
the greatness of His power? No, surely
He would pay attention to me. 7 'There
the upright would reason with Him; And I
would be delivered forever from my Judge. NASB
Here in this world, if you are forced into some type
of adversarial confrontation, either socially, politically, or legally, you
will face those who will yell at you, gossip against you, or overwhelm you with
there resources. Life is not fair. And that is just the way the jungle
works. The stronger will overpower the
weaker whenever possible. Justice is
generally not the issue, but the one who has more resources or showmanship, or
tenacity, or even the lack of ethics and conscience, is what takes charge in
this world.
With God, no such situation occurs. God is all powerful to say the least. He designed the entire universe, and
considered an infinite number of history schemes before deciding on one single
historical stream of events. He created
all life, and supervises and supports all that is. God can create everything in an instant, or destroy
everything in an instant. There is
nothing that God cannot do or accomplish.
But when it comes to a disagreement between God and
man, does God simply step on man, squashing him like a bug? No.
God does not use His awesome power to take charge of an event.
Instead God gives man all of the information (strength
through doctrine) he needs in order to make his own argument, to see Gods own argument,
and to come to the correct conclusion regarding his, mans, situation.
Now this applies to those who are positive
obviously. Those who are not positive
toward God, do not attempt to see or understand the information that is freely
given to them, so their conclusions will always be biased in their own favor,
for whatever good it will do them.
And Job goes one step further, and that is that one
day, in eternity, all of the complaints, all of the persecutions, all of the disputes
and so forth between people, will go away permanently, never to be heard from or
raise their heads again.
Today it is difficult in many cases, to distinguish
between the righteous and the wicked in this world, but in eternity there will
be no wicked in heaven and therefore no confrontation nor a need for
confrontation of any kind. We will in
effect have no need for any kind of judges or judging as Job states here.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
