You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 22:28
28 Thou shalt also decree [gazar] a thing ['omer], and it
shall be established [quwm] unto thee: and the
light ['owr] shall shine [nagahh] upon thy ways [derek]. KJV-Interlinear
28 'You will also decree a thing,
and it will be established for you; And
light will shine on your ways. NASB
Continuing yesterdays study of vows, which in
everyone's life, when you enter into a relationship with anyone, you
automatically enter into a promise either express or implied, to that other
party.
When you marry, you are automatically burdened with
many various types of promises to your spouse. When you have children, you are
automatically burdened with promises to those children. When you go to school, get a job, enter a store,
or do almost anything in life, you have the burdens for many different promises
placed on you.
These promises are obligations or responsibilities
certainly, but they include your wants and desires for others as well as
yourself.
Unfortunately, many folks pick and choose the things
they want to follow and those which they won't follow through with, with
respect to others. But with Gods help,
you will be able to fulfill them.
Without Gods help, you are limited to what the jungle
will allow.
But, there is much, much more that attends the
spiritual life.
When you decree, intend, or propose something, and
that something must be in accordance with Gods plan, then God will establish it,
launch it, and sustain it, in your behalf.
And light or success will shine on your way of life. Which way of life is Bible doctrine - the
correct approach to Bible doctrine, not some emotional taboo driven, popular
belief driven lifestyle which some call Christianity, but is not.
Prov. 16:3-4
3 Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will
be established. 4 The Lord has made
everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil. NASB
The key here is spiritual growth and advancement to
spiritual maturity. Rejecting Christ
will never accomplish anything for you through Gods plan for believers. Simply believing in Christ will never get you
into the inner circle of blessing which belong to the spiritually mature. Certainly finding blame or constantly
criticizing will never get you into Gods inner circle.
When you advance toward maturity through the circle of
wisdom, which we have studied extensively, then God will use you proactively
within His divine plan. For those who do
not comply with or even attempt to pursue their spiritual life, then their
participation in the plan, is a passive one at best. I call it historical filler. Just occupying
space until the next generation pushes them aside.
Spiritual maturity is the single most important
possession that you can possibly have.
Treasure it as you would gold discovered inside of your own home.
In maturity, Gods pattern of thinking, becomes your
pattern of thinking. Gods intensions, become your intensions. God is very much aware of all of your needs
and your spiritual abilities. He will most probably push you through a testing
envelope to prove to all viewing angels and perhaps even to some in this world,
just how strong, or weak, of a believer that you are.
Prov. 4:18
8 But the path of the righteous is like the light of
dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day. NASB
Spiritual growth is exactly that, a light which begins
dimly as with the dawn, and then with growth, over time, glows brighter and
brighter and brighter, until it becomes so bright that no darkness can blot it
out.
Look in the mirror tonight. That should be a picture of you .. wear
sunglasses!
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
