You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 22:26-27
26 For then shalt thou have thy delight [`anag] in the Almighty [Shadday],
and shalt lift up [nasa'] thy face [paniym] unto God ['elowahh].
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer [`athar] unto him, and he shall hear [shama`] thee, and thou shalt pay [shalam] thy vows [neder]. KJV-Interlinear
26 'For then you will delight in
the Almighty, And lift up your face to God. 27 'You will pray to Him, and He will hear
you; And you will pay your vows. NASB
The result of your turning your life around, turning
to God by means of studying, learning, applying, understanding, and therefore
coming to a point of wisdom or maturity within your own soul, then the sum
total of the source of your happiness and delight will be found in God.
The strength and music emanating from within your
soul, will be due to God, Christ, doctrine and your spiritual life.
God gave you life at the very outset of your existence. He conjured you up in eternity past in the
divine plan, brought you into existence when you were born into this world,
gave you a new and eternal life when you believed in Christ, produced meaning
and purpose, strength and joy while you grew up, and most of all established
for you, a relationship with the author and creator and sustainer of all that
is.
Instead of looking to the world for meaning and
sustenance, you will raise your eyes, the eyes of your soul, looking to God for
all of your wants and needs.
When you pray to Him, He will hear because of your
established link with Him.
And probably one of the more important things in
anyone's life, is the payment of their vows.
What is that?
Vows are promises, desires, wants, that we all have in
life. Through doctrine in your soul,
your thoughts are changed to His thoughts, His desires become your desires, and
your desires are fulfilled by Him, the Almighty, because He does not wish to
refuse you and wishes to provide you will all good things. The only one who is able and willing to do
exceedingly and abundantly, above and beyond all that you are able to ask or
even to imagine.
Psa. 37:4
4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your
heart. NASB
Psa. 37:5
5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and
He will do it. NASB
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
