You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 20:28
28 The increase [yabuwl] of his
house [bayith] shall depart [galah], and his goods shall flow away [nagar] in the day [yowm] of his
wrath ['aph]. KJV-Interlinear
28 'The increase of his house
will depart; His possessions will flow
away in the day of His anger. NASB
The word for 'depart' means to go into captivity, to
become the property of another, to disappear permanently as ones own.
This is the destiny of everything you will ever own,
achieve, or possess from his world.
The waters of a gigantic flood will rise up and wash
away your home. It and everything in it
and around it, will vanish.
Now you see it and now you don't. If you have ever seen water wash across a
very dry ground, sink in and then the water is gone, that is how your
possessions, your pride and joys of this life will be.
They will be with you for a very short time, but when
their time is up, you will see them and have them no more.
And when is all of this to happen?
'In the day of His anger.' What exactly does that mean? Perhaps you will lose all of your things at
the Second Advent. Perhaps you will lose
all of your things at the end of human history.
But that is not the meaning here.
The meaning here is simply, 'Jesus Christ controls
history.' Jesus Christ controls every
aspect of your life.
Sure you make decisions and have some semblance of
direction in your life, but Jesus Christ is God, the Son of God, and He carries
out every detail of Gods Plan, which was authored by the Father in eternity
past. We call that plan the Devine
Decrees.
You can advance along with that plan to certain
success for your life, or you can reject it and make up your own plan, for
certain failure in your life. You always
have a choice.
You life was conceived in eternity past, by God. Your life became a reality when you were born
and God imputed human life into your soul.
Your life will continue forever from that moment on.
The real question here is, 'Are you going to prepare
for your total life for all of eternity, or just this short version while on
this earth, while ignoring the rest?'
Which offers you more?
Or perhaps you may feel you don't have any obligations in this life!
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
