You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Job 20:11

11 His bones [`etsem] are full [male'] of the sin of his youth [`aluwm], which shall lie down [shakab] with him in the dust [`aphar]. KJV-Interlinear

11 'His bones are full of his youthful vigor, But it lies down with him in the dust. NASB

The bones represent the extension of ones strength, ones life, ones substance. In other words, the very fabric or substance on which the wicked person has depended, will vanish into the dust of the earth, just as his physical body will change to dust when he dies.

The wicked person is anyone who has led a spiritually negative pattern of life, throughout his life. This is the person who has relied on the things of this world, rather than on the substance of Bible doctrine, for his life.

His life is as a dream, or even a vision. It slips along even in great detail, but in a state of unreality, and when eventually reality is restored, then that life vanishes as though it never was.

The profits, the wealth, the hopes and dreams of ones life come to nothing. Just as the wicked squandered his valuable resources, spiritual resources that God has provided for everyone, so his descendants will squander whatever wealth they inherit.

The individual comes into this world with nothing but a potential. That potential exists throughout ones life and is capitalized upon and transformed into a reality, when positive volition is mated with Bible doctrine.

When the person basically ignores God, Christ, or doctrine throughout their life, then their potential, which is a phenomenal potential, comes to nothing, or very little.

All things gained of this world for the person, cease or that same person, the very moment of his death.

The negative person does not rely on the strength of God, but the strength of his own vigor, his own intellect, his own talent, his own ability, his own status, his own credentials, all of which by the way, came from God, but that source is not acknowledged.

And just as you can see the deterioration in the face of an infant when compared with the face of that same person in old age, so too, all things of this world deteriorate and eventually vanish into nothingness at the point of death.

Reliance solely on physical vigor, intellect, talent, ability, status, credentials and so forth gain you nothing. Why? Because your life is eternal and not merely years or decades long. The bulk of your life will occur after you have died from this world. And the only things that survive death are spiritual assets.

Go ahead and pursue the things of this life, for there is nothing wrong with those legitimate pursuits, but make your priority pursuit, your spiritual life. You will lose the worldly things, but your spiritual possessions will translate into greater phenomenal wealth for all of eternity.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
