You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 15:35
35 They conceive [harah] mischief [`amal], and bring
forth [yalad] vanity ['aven], and their belly [beten]
prepareth [kuwn] deceit [mirmah]. KJV-Interlinear
35 'They conceive mischief and
bring forth iniquity, And their mind prepares deception.' NASB
There are only two orientations to life. Truth is the best and preferred orientation,
and lies are the second.
If you are not oriented properly to God, who is truth,
then your life is a lie and everything in you is false. You cannot orient to anything or anyone, if
you do not have any form of truth within your soul.
And so here Eliphaz summarizes the life, meaning, and purpose
of the spiritually negative person.
Just as fish can only produce fish, mammals can only
produce mammals, birds can only produce birds, so too, man can only produce from
that which is the content of his soul.
If man thinks evil, then he can only produce evil.
If man possesses good in his soul, then he is capable
of producing good. But good comes from
only one source, and that is from a legitimate and consistent daily study of
the Word of God, while being consistently resident in fellowship.
Whether you are a Hitler or a sweet do-gooder, makes
no difference. Unbelief is unbelief, spiritually negative is spiritually
negative, and evil is evil.
Eliphaz describes the process of evil in terms of the
process of pregnancy. There is
conception, then formation in the womb, and then the birth of the wickedness.
Lust is the conception. Lust is the pride of wanting, hunger, desire. Lust is the initial phase of evil.
Development in the womb is the deception. The person deceives himself in pursuing
wickedness, because wickedness is a lie in the first place. But once the seed of lust has been placed in
the thought pattern, then that seed of deception, provides the entertainment of
the mind with regard to its various possibilities. The sin is developed, and then the sin is
born.
Sin becomes death to its sponsor. Sin is a separation from God. For unbelievers, sin is a barrier to faith in
Christ. For believers, sin is an
eviction from ones fellowship status and the termination of a functional relationship
with God.
James 1:14-16
14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and
enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. NASB
Every individual was not made by God on a whim, but
for a specific purpose. Every individual
was put into this world with the opportunity for a phenomenal destiny before
him.
The key word here is opportunity. Our entire life is a potential or a series of
potentials. Making the right decisions
in life, opens up more and more opportunities.
Making wrong decisions, reduces your opportunities.
Not being born means that you have no life. Being born means that you have forever
life. The difference between the two is
infinite.
Faith in Christ means life in heaven. Rejecting Christ means life in the Lake of
Fire. The difference between the two is
infinite.
Advancing to spiritual maturity means having
phenomenal additional blessings.
Rejecting your spiritual life, means loss of those phenomenal additional
blessings. The difference between the
two is infinite.
Every person has the opportunity to choose their
course through life. God does not
interfere with your choices. But
likewise, every person is given the necessary information regarding the pros
and cons of their choices. Everyone
knows the repercussions of their choices.
No one will have an excuse when the final evaluation
before Christ, arrives.
Pursuing God, Christ, and doctrine now, will gain you
a guaranteed successful life both now and forever.
Being indifferent, or pursuing something you think is better,
will only lead you to guaranteed failure and nothing to show for your life.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
