You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 14:3
3 And dost thou open [paqach] thine eyes [`ayin] upon
such an one [zeh], and bringest [bow'] me into judgment [mishpat]
with thee? KJV-Interlinear
3 'Thou also dost open Thine eyes
on him, And bring him into judgment with Thyself. NASB
Man is so insignificant in this universe, and yet God
who is omnipotent, omnipresent, and vast beyond description, still takes His
precious time, and looks after humanity, watching him closely and diligently.
God keeps track of each and every thought and action
of mankind.
Zech. 12:4
4 'In that day,' declares the Lord, 'I will strike
every horse with bewilderment, and his rider with madness. But I will watch
over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with
blindness. NASB
Even as wars and pestilences, bad weather, and
phenomenal disasters rampage human history, God still looks after mankind with
the intention of mans preservation, and securing mans destiny. Both of which humanity cannot do for himself.
Gods ultimate purpose for man, is to bring man into a
final judgment, and/or evaluation, at the end of human history.
Jobs words here signify a finality of human
history. That means that human history
as we know it, one in which man rules the earth, or the stars, or whatever you
want to think of as mans self-control, will all come to an end one day. There is no 'unlimited' future for humanity
in this world.
Even the world and this universe have a definite
ending date.
The Bible concept of dispensations describes the
divisions of time of human history. We
are currently in the Age of the Royal Family.
Sometimes our dispensation is called the Church Age.
The very next prophecy to be fulfilled will be the
Rapture of all believers out from our dispensation. The Rapture marks the end of our era, and the
resumption of the Age of Israel. The
dispensation, which we interrupted.
That dispensation, the resumption of the Age of
Israel, has only seven years remaining in it.
And those last seven years are generally referred to as the Tribulation.
The Tribulation is divided into two halves. The first half is called Satan's Utopia. The second half of the Tribulation, the last
three and a half years, is called the Great Tribulation.
The entire seven-year period of the Tribulation will
end with the Second Advent of Christ, which marks the beginning of the
Millennium. The Millennium will last
one-thousand years. And at the end of
the Millennium, the last and final judgment, the Great White Throne, will occur. That is where all unbelievers throughout our
history will stand before Christ, be judged, and thrown into the Lake of Fire.
This will mark the official end of human history.
After this the universe will be destroyed out of
existence, and a brand new universe, which will be incorporated into heaven,
will be created. Then eternity will begin and it will go on forever, for
believers that is.
Job is aware of mans final judgment, and of God being
the judge.
From our current day, we do not know how long our
dispensation will last. It could end tonight, or a hundred years from now. But
if you add up the seven years of the Tribulation and the one-thousand years of
the Millennium, then human history has only 1007 years plus our remaining
years, to go.
Adam and Eve were created some six-thousand years ago. That means that the lions share of human
history is behind us, with very little remaining.
How many more years do we have in our Church Age? That is unknown. But with population growth, resources diminishing,
and who knows what else, this century or even the next, will place tremendous
burdens on humanity. Those difficult conditions may very well be the final test,
which will prove mans inability to solve his many problems.
No matter what you want to think of as mans future,
the Bible teaches us that human history has a definite and specific time limit,
and then there will be the judgment.
Just as human history is limited, so too each
individual life has a limit. You will
die one day and then your life will enter into the next phase of your
existence. How long will you live? Only God knows that answer.
But so long as you are alive, God has a plan for your
life, and that plan is centered around your taking advantage of the opportunity
of advancing in your spiritual life.
Don't think too highly of yourself. Remember that you are but a shadow, a morning
mist, a spring flower, a rotting thing.
You will exist for a very short while in this world and then you will be
gone.
For those who ignore God, Christ, and their spiritual
life, their life will fade into insignificance.
For those who pursue God, Christ, and their spiritual
life, their life will blossom into a significance beyond imagination.
So long as you are alive, you will always have the
power to choose which destiny you will have.
After you are gone, then you lose that right.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
