You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 12:22-23
22 He discovereth [galah] deep things [`amoq] out of
darkness [choshek], and bringeth out [yatsa'] to light ['owr] the shadow
of death [tsalmaveth].
23 He increaseth [saga'] the nations [gowy], and
destroyeth ['abad] them: he enlargeth [shatach] the nations [gowy], and
straiteneth [nachah] them again. KJV-Interlinear
22 'He reveals mysteries from the
darkness, And brings the deep darkness into light. 23 'He makes the nations great, then destroys
them; He enlarges the nations, then
leads them away. NASB
Within the context of this chapter, Job is speaking of
wicked people, and Gods ability to see through, thwart, and ultimately control
all of their plans.
He reveals the mysteries of the world in two ways. First, He demonstrates the truths of life
through Bible doctrine. To those who
reject God, Christ, and His word, Bible doctrine is a mystery, and is even
considered silliness.
Second, God reveals all of the deep and darkest
secrets of humanity. Those who would pursue
evil and plot deceit, sin, and wickedness in its many forms, can never do so in
complete secrecy.
God knows all of the thoughts and plans of humanity,
and has known them since eternity past.
There is nothing that God does not know.
There is nothing that man can conjure up, and nothing that can take God
by surprise.
All of the well thought out plans of Iran, of
politicians, of criminals, of gossips, of office competition, of anything you
can think of, are known by God.
God can control the outcome of the life of the
individual, God can control the destiny of a nation.
Anyone, any nation, can be made great overnight, or
destroyed overnight.
Your life can skyrocket to greatness, or nosedive to
destruction, and God controls it all.
Since God controls your life, every aspect of your
life, then you might want to consider getting in line with what God wants out
of you, during your life.
This does not mean that you can sit on a porch and
watch life go by. One of the many things
expected from you, is responsibility.
And you will one day be held accountable for how you conduct your life.
You might want to review, from time to time, the
spiritual checklist we put together some time ago, just to keep yourself on
track.
And, be sure that you do not trap yourself into entertaining
yourself with your own private thoughts. Too often believers can drift away
from a strict and controlled thought process, which the spiritual life is, by
finding little excuses for thinking things that they should not.
This is not limited to naughty thoughts, but can
include many types of wants and desires, entertainments, even resentments or
judgments which may make you feel better for the moment, but are really
distractions away from your spiritual growth.
Remember that your spiritual life is the most valuable
possession you have. Don't discount it
with little petty thoughts or activities.
God knows the world and the world will not destroy
itself, or you. God has already revealed
to us the principle of dispensations. We
already know the future of our planet.
The next major event is not a national election, but
the Rapture, followed by the Tribulation, followed by the Millennium, and so
forth. Atomic bombs, weather warming
trends, storms, diseases, and on and on, none of these will derail Gods plan.
Don't worry about what the world will or will not do,
but concern yourself with advancing in your spiritual life. The world cannot help you. Bible doctrine
can.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
