You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Job 12:15
15 Behold, he withholdeth [`atsar] the waters [mayim], and
they dry up [yabesh]: also he sendeth them out [shalach], and they overturn [haphak]
the earth ['erets]. KJV-Interlinear
15 'Behold, He restrains the waters,
and they dry up; And He sends them out,
and they inundate the earth. NASB
Just a couple of years ago, a great tsunami took the
lives of a couple of hundred thousand people.
Many folks simply ascribe this event as a natural one.
In years past, tornado's, hurricanes, volcano
eruptions, earthquakes, forest fires, floods, blizzards, hail storms, famine's
and on and on goes the list of natural events that have occurred in this world.
Are they just chance occurrences? Are they just the natural function of this
planets mechanism? Are they a part of
the planets evolution? Are they ruled by
natural forces, which have their own agenda, personified by the term 'Mother
Nature?'
Or
Are these events, occurrences which have been set in
motion by a higher power? Namely God!
What we know from our studies, is that God established
the Divine Decrees in eternity past.
Those decrees include all of the details of history. We generally think of human details, but
weather patterns and storms are included as well.
In the time of Job, the flood of Noah would have been
one of the most notable events. People
were still alive, namely Noah and his three sons, and possibly their wives, who
were witness to the actual flood.
Subsequent to the flood, the Tower of Babel, the
disruption of languages, the formation of nations, and probably several
occurrences of extreme weather, such as the storm, which took the lives of Jobs
children, would have been in the experiences of many folks still living in Jobs
day.
Likewise, in Jobs day, God had spoken to people, using
various methods of communication. Noah
was one such person, and even though there are few documented communications
between the time of Noah and Abraham, the fact that there were some
communications implies that more communications could have occurred. Eliphaz stated that he had similar
revelations.
And, even though Eliphaz is off track in his
application of doctrine toward Job, he is never presented as being a liar.
So, all natural events in history, are under the
control of God.
God created the universe, which includes our
pre-historic era. Those dinosaurs died
off, and then God restored the earth placing Adam and Eve in the Garden.
No rain ever occurred in the Garden. When Adam and Eve were evicted from the
Garden, rain was still not a part of history.
The earth was watered by mists and springs.
This is one of the reasons that folks laughed at Noah,
when he said that rain was coming. What is rain? How can water fall from the sky? Surely, Noah must be drinking some funny
water!
And yet dark clouds formed and the fountains of the
deep opened up and the planet was flooded.
When the Rapture occurs at some point in the future,
then the Tribulation and the last seven years of human history, under human and
Satan's control, will commence.
The weather and all natural events will change
dramatically. The world will not be
influenced by gas guzzling cars, or people smoking cigarettes.
Within those seven years, extremes in rain fall, heat
waves, and cold waves, extremes in famines, erupting volcanoes, earthquakes,
huge hail storms, storms of enormous proportions, even islands disappearing
into the ocean, will occur.
The human debate over what to do about it all will be
irrelevant, as people's lives all over the world will be so disrupted, that
they will probably not care about global warming or cooling, or anything else
for that matter. Half of the population
of the world will die during those seven years.
And, when the Second Advent occurs, then most of the
other half will die instantly, leaving very few to go into the Millennium. And then, the world climate will change
immediately into a perfect one.
God controls history.
God controls the weather. God
controls all natural events.
Prov. 30:4
4 Who has
ascended into heaven and descended? Who
has gathered the wind in His fists? Who
has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who
has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name or His son's name?
Surely you know! NASB
Isa. 40:12
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His
hand, And marked off the heavens by the span, And calculated the dust of the
earth by the measure, And weighed the mountains in a balance, And the hills in
a pair of scales? NASB
Amos 4:7
7 'And furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While
there were still three months until harvest.
Then I would send rain on one city And on another city I would not send
rain; One part would be rained on, While
the part not rained on would dry up. NASB
In fact, God maintains control over just about
everything.
Is it possible that studying Bible doctrine on a
daily basis might be of some benefit?
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
