You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Job 9:4

4 He is wise [chakam] in heart [lebab], and mighty ['ammiyts] in strength [koach]: who hath hardened [qashah] himself against him, and hath prospered [shalam]? KJV-Interlinear

4 'Wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who has defied Him without harm? NASB

No created being can contend with God and win. We saw in yesterday's study, that you can initiate any number of arguments with God, and all of them will fail. You can argue one time, a dozen times, a thousand times. You can argue until you are blue in the face, and you will never win an argument with God.

God is truth. In Him there are no lies. So any argument with God, by default, must not be based on truth.

Any argument with truth, must come from lies.

Too often people will say that they believe in God, but disagree with His plan. God could obviously do things a little differently as far as they are concerned.

Well, that is the basis for all religions. Judaism recognizes God, but rejects the Son. Islam recognizes God, but rejects His work. Hinduism rejects the personality of God and presumes that all people can rise through various levels of enlightenment to become one with God. Buddhism rejects God and presumes that nature and the universe are an all inclusive consciousness.

Taking this concept one step further. Lately in the news are the opponents to the war in Iraq. Their latest rhetoric is that they oppose the war, but support the troops. Which is nothing more than double talk.

We support God, but oppose His plan. It is all the same.

What is a war? Good fighting evil. What is the good here? Fighting for freedom and liberty, opposing evil and wickedness, trying to bring rampant crime, tyranny, murder, genocide, rape, theft and so forth on a national scale, under control. To oppose the war must mean that one is for murder, tyranny, rape, crime, and every aspect of evil that comes along.

How can one support the police officer and oppose law and order? The statements are contradictory.

So with respect to the law of truth, no person can stand up against God with any argument. God is perfect righteousness. Righteousness is sinless perfection. God is perfect justice. Justice is the cleansing away of all filth, taints, imperfections of any and every kind.

Anything in opposition to truth, is in fact filth, tainted, and imperfect.

God is mighty. God has the resources and wherewithal to do His own will. Man does not. Gods resources are infinite. Mans resources are severely limited.

God is infinite wisdom and power. Who could be so foolish as to think that they could compete with that?

Who can oppose God, and that simply means, who can pursue lies and survive? What has man earned for himself by means of effort or skill, or by means of his own self-appointed titles?

2 Peter 2:4

4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; NASB

If even the angels fell into the fearful judgment of God, and angels are far superior to humanity, than what chance does man have, when man opposes God?

No living person in history has ever made the argument for self-justification, stick. Certainly, no one has ever prospered by it. If they had, they would still be alive, and we know that all past generations are dead.

To reject God, to reject His plan, to reject His Son, to reject the content of the Bible, which is His written Word, is to reject truth. To reject truth is to embrace lies.

Of course there are many who misquote the Bible and abuse its use, but a consistent daily study will allow you to sort out the truth from the lie.

Without a daily study, you will be absorbed into the worlds viewpoints, and the world is the cosmos environment of Satan's opinions, which are designed to confuse and confound your thinking.

So, who has ever opposed God and won? No one! Therefore, do not pursue the world's opinions, because they will lead you to certain failure.

Instead pursue Gods opinion and that will guarantee you certain success in your life both now and especially in eternity. You'll never be able to get anything better than that.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
