You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Job 8:20-21

20 Behold, God ['el] will not cast away [ma'ac] a perfect [tam] man, neither will he help [chazaq] [yad] the evil doers [ra`a`]:

21 Till he fill [male'] thy mouth [peh] with laughing [sachowq], and thy lips [saphah] with rejoicing [taruw`ah]. KJV-Interlinear

20 'Lo, God will not reject a man of integrity, Nor will He support the evildoers. 21 'He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, And your lips with shouting. NASB

Integrity is truth. The opposite of integrity is the lie. Truth comes only from the study of the Word of God. Everything else, everything that excludes truth, is a lie.

Everything that comes from God is truth. God is only capable of issuing truth from Himself. God created the universe and accompanying this universe came various laws of gravity, physics, mathematics, atoms, electrons, DNA, etc., etc., etc.

God also created the Laws of Divine Establishment. Included in them are principles of volition, marriage, family, nationalism, authority, free enterprise, freedom, liberty, etc., etc., etc.

But the most important truth of all, is that man is unsaved and God is mans only hope. God provided a mechanism for saving humanity. That is through faith in Christ. God also created a mechanism for humanity to grow up spiritually, and that comes through the daily study of the scriptures. God also defined the sphere within which the spiritual life can function, and we call that fellowship.

All of these and much, much more we call integrity, Gods integrity. Note that mans integrity is excluded from Gods plan. What is man? What are you, really? Dust and air.

God respects only one thing and that is perfection. Since God is perfection, then God will only respect that which comes from Himself. We receive that portion of Gods perfection, when we grow up spiritually.

Bible doctrine in the soul, is our piece of perfection. God does not respect us as human beings, but God does respect the doctrine within us. Therefore, by association with doctrine within us, we become the recipients of Gods blessing.

God targets doctrine for His perfection, and we as growing believers, benefit from that blessing.

By learning Bible doctrine, we come to possess it. God gives us doctrine, we learn and grow up with it, and we own that which God gives us. Therefore, our most important possession is our spiritual life, because that is the target of Gods blessing.

Bible doctrine, which is virtually everything that God teaches us through the scriptures, is the source material for building up a spiritual structure within our soul. We own that structure.

Since that spiritual structure is perfect, since that structure originally came from God, then God targets it for blessing. We are the owner, therefore we become the recipients of that blessing.

God honors truth. After all, it originated from Himself. God does not honor lies. Lies are anything which did not come from God. Lies are any truth which is tainted, compromised, altered, distorted, rationalized, invented, rejected, twisted, ignored and so forth.

Truth and lies are mutually exclusive. The carnal life and the spiritual life are mutually exclusive. You can't live both simultaneously. You are either living your life in fellowship or you aren't. You are either growing up in your spiritual life, or you aren't. You are either taking all of this Bible stuff seriously, or you aren't. You are either committed to developing your spiritual life, or you aren't.

The spiritual life is not a cafeteria from which you can pick and choose between the things that you will believe and agree to, and those you do not like. God does not bargain with truth.

Bible study is not an entertainment venue.

To him who pursues his spiritual life with a great passion, seizing hold of and securing for ones own possession, that which God has to offer, then God will never abandon, never reject, never forsake.

However, he that never takes any of this seriously, never commits himself to obedience to Gods will as it were, then God will indeed abandon, reject, turn His back on him.

One of these days we will take up the study of Song of Solomon, which is an intense study of the love and passion of a man for his woman, and a woman for her man. It is the book of divine viewpoint set in the most intimate terms. If any book is designed to get the adult attention, that one should.

Within your spiritual life, God will bring you full circle until He fills your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouting.

Bildad believes that he is giving Job hope with a few words of encouragement.

How do you react, how do you feel, when you win the biggest championship of all time? How do you react, how do you feel when you strike it filthy, filthy, filthy rich? How do you react, how do you feel when you have just experienced extremely passionate love?

These are the feelings and reactions, to which Bildad is referring. You become excited, ecstatic, elated, overwhelmed, euphoric, inundated, exhilarated, and on and on and on.

This is the ultimate result, the completion, the achievement, the goal, the fulfillment of the spiritual life.

Go back to our spiritual checklist and ask yourself why you are excluding any part of that list, and why. It is merely a brief and simple list, but it should give you a guideline as to what is expected of you.

Is the spiritual life worth it? Can you find anything better in this world? Only you can decide how far you are willing to go, in order to gain everything that God has pre-destined for you in your life.

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
