You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isa. 66:20
20 And they shall bring [bow'] all your brethren ['ach]
for an offering [minchah] unto the LORD [Yahovah] out of all nations [gowy]
upon horses [cuwc], and in chariots [rekeb], and in litters [tsab], and
upon mules [pered], and upon swift beasts [karkarah], to my holy [qodesh]
mountain [har] Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim], saith ['amar] the LORD [Yahovah], as the children [ben] of
Israel [Yisra'el] bring [bow'] an offering [minchah] in a
clean [tahowr] vessel [kaliy] into the house [bayith] of
the LORD [Yahovah]. KJV-Interlinear
20 Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the
nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on
mules, and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, just as
the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of
the LORD. NASB
Despite
the chaos of the Tribulation, there will be a remnant of mature believers to be
delivered at the end of the Tribulation when Christ returns. These mature believers will not be
exclusively from Jerusalem,
but they will exist in countries throughout the world.
Back
in Isaiah s time, even from the time of Moses to the time of Christ, the
Israelites practiced a system of sacrifices and offerings on a daily, weekly,
or even annual basis. These offerings
were to the God.
One
of the offerings was called, minchah, or a gift offering. It is also called a grain offering, meat
offering or meal offering. In this
offering, Christ is represented as the gift of God to the World. Gods ultimate gift was salvation, and Christ
was the mechanism of that gift.
Here,
the believers who are delivered at the Second Advent, will become the gift
themselves, to Christ. Instead of bringing grains as the content of their
offering, they themselves will be the offering by virtue of their mature
spiritual status.
The
grain offering generally represents the work of the field. The fruits of ones labor, which further
represents the necessities or results or requirements of life. Christ s work on
the Cross is that ultimate work which everyone needs in order to have a life
beyond this life.
Spiritual
growth to maturity is the work of the believer by means of the grace of God.
Here,
there will be no grain, no produce, no work of man which can be brought to
Christ. Only the survivors themselves
will exist and they will be the evidence and the testimony of God keeping His
promises.
They
survived not through their own ingenuity in the face of terrible trouble, not
through some piece of luck, not because they simply had good survival abilities,
but they survived solely because of their faith.
Faith
is a result of spiritual growth. Faith
relies on things not seen. Faith trusts
in things not of this realm. Faith is
not wishful thinking.
Daily
spiritual study, results in daily understanding, results in daily application
of Gods principles to ones life, results in wisdom, results eventually in
faith. The more growth, the greater ones
faith becomes.
David,
Daniel, Moses and others are examples of extensive faith in God. Faith reaches out to the abilities and
resources of God, when you own abilities become non-existent or useless.
Spiritual
growth occurs when one is in fellowship.
Fellowship is the state of spiritual cleanliness.
When
the Israelites made their grain offerings, they had to make their offering in a
clean vessel, which represents Christ in His state of perfection, and
themselves, in their state of fellowship.
The
delivered remnant of the tribulation, will be spiritually mature believers, and
thus their lives, their souls, will become the clean vessels for their offering
of themselves to Christ.
They
will come from all over the world.
Thy
will come on horses, carts, litters, camels, mules, etc. They will come by every conceivable means of
transportation from across the planet, to Jerusalem.
Of course, cars and motorized vehicles
did not exist in Isaiah s day, but his references to the many means of
transportation will certainly include the transportation modes of that future
time.
Remember,
the tribulation is still future. If the
Second Advent were to occur seven years from now, people will use boats, cars, airplanes,
trucks, bicycles, and so forth to get to Jerusalem. If the Second Advent is not to occur for
another century, then there certainly well be different types of transportation
in that future time.
At
the beginning of the tribulation, everyone alive will be unbelievers. At the end of the Tribulation, there will
have been many millions or even billons who will believe in Christ, and most of
them will die during the Tribulation.
There will be a remnant who will be delivered, and they will be mature
believers in Christ. That means that
they studied enough of the scriptures, and often enough, in order to advance in
their spiritual lives to a point of maximum faith, and maximum trust.
They
will not be just Jewish people, but they will be people from all over the
world, from every gentile nation.
Despite Satan s attempt to destroy the scriptures, Christians, and Jews,
God will still make Bible doctrine available to anyone and everyone who is
interested.
Rom.
12:1
1
I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a
living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service
of worship. NASB
Anyone
who is positive toward God, Christ, Bible doctrine, and their spiritual life,
is in effect by virtue of their daily study, fellowship, and growth, making
themselves a sacrifice to God, which, because of their daily study, putting
Bible doctrine as the content of their soul, is acceptable to God.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
