You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isa. 66:19
19 And I will set [suwm] a sign ['owth] among them,
and I will send [shalach] those that escape [paliyt] of them unto the nations [gowy], to Tarshish [Tarshiysh],
Pul [Puwl], and Lud [Luwd], that draw [mashak] the bow
[qesheth], to Tubal [Tuwbal], and Javan [Yavan], to the
isles ['iy] afar off [rachowq], that have not heard [shama`] my fame [shema`], neither have seen [ra'ah] my glory [kabowd]; and they
shall declare [nagad] my glory [kabowd] among the Gentiles [gowy]. KJV-Interlinear
19 And I will set a sign among them and will send survivors
from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Rosh, Tubal, and Javan,
to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory.
And they will declare My glory among the nations. NASB
In
these last few chapters of Isaiah, he has listed the promises and prayers to
God, that the remnant of the Tribulation will rely on to get them through their
trying time.
We
have already seen that those who pursue God and their spiritual life, become
the recipients of blessings. Those who
reject God, ignore God, try to modify Gods principles for their own purposes,
will become the recipients of cursing.
Just
so there is no mistake, Isaiah now describes the no excuse principle of
life.
In
history, if a people has never heard of God, then they can t really be held
responsible for their actions in life.
For example, a child who is simply too young to understand life, when he
dies, he is automatically saved. We
studied this in the study of David, when he lost his first son.
God
promises a sign and a message to the rest of the world. Isaiah refers to the four directions on the
compass relative to Jerusalem. Tarshish is a reference to the west, Put to
the south, Meshech and Tubal to the north and east, Javan to he north. The distant islands, is a reference to lands
far, far away, or everywhere else across the planet.
Gods
glory is revealed around the entire world.
And the world knows of God, knows of Christ, and knows of the
scriptures. The world has no excuse.
Remember,
when we studied the opening round of the Armageddon war, how the powers to the
North and South, knew of the prophecies concerning themselves, but ignored them. Those prophecies spoke of their plans, spoke
of their movements and methods of attack, of the double-cross that the Northern
Power would play on the Southern Power, and the inevitable destruction of the
Northern power.
Those
nations knew of the prophecies, but ignored them. They thought that they could outsmart the
prophecies, as though knowing of an outcome in advance would give them an edge. The wisdom of humanity is not so wise, most
of the time.
Since
Isaiah s time, the Israelites have been removed from their country several
times. They had exile movements when
attacked by the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks, and the
Romans.
And,
since the time of Christ, or since 70 A.D., they have been more or less in
exile during all of this Church Age.
There are currently many more Jewish peoples living around the world,
than are living in present day Israel.
And
again, since the time of Christ, the Gentile nations have been evangelized
continually.
When
our Church Age ends with the Rapture, even though there will be no believers on
the planet immediately following the Rapture, many folks will see the event and
believe in Christ. Evangelism will not
stop just because the Rapture occurs.
There will be two remarkable evangelists and 144,000 Jewish evangelists
who will go to work re-evangelizing the world.
The
gospel and doctrine will be available around the clock and around the world. No one who lives during the seven-year period
of the Tribulation, will have any excuse for not knowing something about Christ
and the spiritual life.
Evangelism
will come out of Israel,
to the four corners of the world, even to places that have not heard of Christ. And those places will include anywhere that
doctrine is not being taught, for obvious reasons, and it will include places
where Christianity is prohibited.
Oddly
enough, during the Church Age, the bulk of all Bible teaching comes from the
gentile nations of the world. After the
Rapture, during the Tribulation, the bulk of the Bible teaching will come out
of Israel,
where is has long been rejected for these many past centuries.
The
entire world will be an unbelieving population immediately after the Rapture,
but still many millions of people from around the world, gentiles, will come to
Christ as a result of the evangelism which will come out of the nation, Israel,
who most rejected God and Christ.
As
for signs, this is probably one of the more remarkable signs of the end times,
that the Tribulation and the last seven years is indeed underway. People will recognize the very dramatic change
in Israel, as Biblical
teaching will come out of Israel
as never before in history. Or, at least
since Isaiah s time, and so they will refer to this passage in Isaiah.
The
principle source of evangelism in the Tribulation, will come out of Israel. That is the dramatic sign from God.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
