You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isa. 66:18
18 For I know their works [ma`aseh] and their thoughts [machashabah]: it shall come [bow'], that
I will gather [qabats] all nations [gowy] and tongues [lashown]; and
they shall come [bow'], and see [ra'ah] my glory [kabowd]. KJV-Interlinear
18 For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is
coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. NASB
Though
people try to conduct their false spiritual life from within the privacy of
their own thoughts, which is to say their walled gardens, or in the deepest
recesses of some nearby but dark grove of trees, God still knows their
thoughts. God knows their motives. God knows their actions.
God
has known every motive, thought, and action of every person who has or will,
ever live. He has known since eternity
past. Nothing can be hidden from
God. And trying to hide ones thought
pattern from people does no good either.
The
ultimate evaluator of history, and of life, is God, not someone s historical
account in books. Though there are
certainly many folks who are super wrapped up in their own ego, and they will
do anything so as to have a favorable account written of them for history.
You ll
generally find this approbation attitude in celebrities, or leaders, or
politicians and such folks.
For
the more common of folks, like you and me, our names and lives won t be
highlighted in the history books. But
still, common folks will get caught up in the secret thought patterns of false
philosophies.
Truth
is held out in the open and can be seen by all.
Lies are not truth, therefore they function in the concealment of
darkness.
So
what do we mean by darkness? Isn t all
religion and generally all philosophy practiced out in the open? Yes.
But the darkness that is referred to here, is in the soul. The darkness of the soul.
A
dark soul cannot see. And seeing here
means knowing the difference between right and wrong, sorting out fact from
fiction, knowing when someone is deceiving you, or leading you on with
incomplete, or tainted, or compromised information.
Bible
doctrine provides that light which allows the soul to see clearly. Lack of Bible doctrine makes life foggy,
unclear, disoriented, ambiguous, and therefore making decisions is difficult.
But
all that said, people know that truth is out there to be learned. They know of Bible doctrine, but they ignore
it, don t take it seriously, don t think of the Bible as a window through which
life can be seen, understood, and lived.
And so, people go their own way in the fog of their own soul.
But
there will come a time in everyone's life, when truth will open up their eyes
wide, and they will then see just how dark of a life they have been
living. That day is generally the day of
their death. Too bad, and too late.
Likewise
in history, there will come a time when all of the nations will have their eyes
opened wide, and truth will come in so brightly that they will be blinded, but
not with truth, but with judgment. The
judgment of Christ.
His
glory, which is so disregarded in today's world, and has been disregarded
throughout history, will, at the time of the Second Advent, become more than
apparent.
Unfortunately,
the entire world will have lost its opportunity for changing their ways to Gods
ways.
Throughout
the Tribulation, millions, perhaps even billions of people will believe in
Christ. Most of them will die as
martyrs, at the hands of brutal governments, at the hands of violent gangs,
from starvation, disease, and so forth.
As the Tribulation s seven-year period progresses, these new believers
will become fewer and fewer as the pressures of the world increase more and
more.
By
the time of the final days and hours of the Armageddon war, everyone who is
going to believe in Christ, will have done so.
God is fair. When Christ returns
at the Second Advent, everything, every decision that is going to be made, will
be completed.
Now
here is the kicker. When people look up
in the eastern sky and see the phenomenal glory of Christ coming, what do you
suppose their reaction will be? To fall
down and say they are sorry, to beg forgiveness, to recognize that Jesus Christ
really does exist? Do you suppose that
everyone will recognize the error of their entire life and finally believe in
Christ?
No,
that will not happen. When Christ s feet
touch down on the ground, His judgment will break loose and cover the planet
with death and destruction. Times up!
The
last thing that negative people see when they die, is their lost opportunity in
the face of Jesus Christ, and still they will be defiant against Him.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
