You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isa. 66:10-11
10 Rejoice [samach] ye with Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim], and be glad [giyl] with
her, all ye that love ['ahab] her: rejoice [suws] for joy [masows] with her,
all ye that mourn ['abal] for her:
11 That ye may suck [yanaq], and be satisfied [saba`]
with the breasts [shad] of her consolations [tanchuwm]; that ye may milk out [matsats], and be delighted [`anag]
with the abundance [ziyz] of her glory [kabowd]. KJV-Interlinear
10 Be joyful with Jerusalem and rejoice for her, all you who
love her; Be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn over her, 11 That you may nurse and be satisfied with
her comforting breasts, That you may suck and be delighted with her bountiful
bosom. NASB
Jerusalem is a city. It
was originally called Salem,
back in Abraham s day, and its leader was Melchizedek, the King and Priest of
Salem, the pattern of Christ s eventual title.
The
meaning of Jerusalem, is the City of Peace. Peace represents the ultimate goal of the
spiritual life, and the result of studying and learning Bible doctrine, and
advancing to spiritual maturity. Bible
doctrine then, is the source of that advancement, the spiritual food, if you
will, which nourishes the human soul to its ultimate health and objective of spiritual
growth to maturity.
The
center of Jerusalem is represented by Mt. Zion. Mt. Zion represents the vast mountain of Bible
doctrine, which is the foundation of all life and truth.
Once
a person has advanced to spiritual maturity, they experience a completeness in
life, and this completeness manifests itself in phenomenal happiness.
Therefore,
rejoice in her is the representative statement and ultimate emotion of the
spiritually mature person. Your life is
not found from within the source of yourself, but from the source of Bible
doctrine, which you have accumulated within your soul, as a result of your
persistence in your daily study.
For
those who have persisted in their spiritual life and of whom have advanced to
spiritual maturity, there is a rejoicing in having attained a complete
life.
For
those who have ignored their spiritual life, but at least they, at one time in
their life, believed in Christ and are saved, and therefore are in mourning
over their lack of Jerusalem in their soul, lack of spiritual maturity, there
will still be a rejoicing in heaven. In
heaven there will be no more sorrow, no more tears, no more pain, no more of
the old pressures and problems of the former life. So everyone wins in doctrine.
Rejoicing
will be the status quo for all who advance to heaven, whether spiritually
immature or mature.
The
nourishment of life comes through Bible doctrine. In human terminology, this is symbolized by
the female breasts. Of all of the human
anatomy, the female breasts have more meaning and receive more attention than
virtually any other body part.
Throughout
history, the breasts have come to portray sustenance, protection, love,
passion, nourishment, softness, affection, sensitivity, longing, besides being the
source of a baby s initial food for life.
Here the breasts are symbolized as the longing and long term desire and
provision of Bible doctrine.
Everything
that one could want or need, can be supplied by means of Bible doctrine. The softness and affection and satisfaction and
desires and completeness that humanity has defined in the human female breasts,
is all wrapped up in Bible doctrine.
The
human body parts are of course biological and have only a temporary life. Bible doctrine provides for all of ones needs
and desires, even passions, and lasts forever.
Just
as mothers milk becomes immediately available when an infant is born, to the
infants delight, so too, when you were re-born into the spiritual life by means
of your faith in Jesus Christ, Bible doctrine became readily available and in
great quantities, for your growth toward the fullness of your life.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
