Isa. 65:23

23 They shall not labour [yaga`] in vain [riyq], nor bring forth [yalad] for trouble [behalah]; for they are the seed [zera`] of the blessed [barak] of the LORD [Yahovah], and their offspring [tse'etsa'] with them. KJV-Interlinear

23 They shall not labor in vain, Or bear children for calamity; For they are the offspring of those blessed by the LORD, And their descendants with them. NASB

The previous verses emphasized the long life fonts of the people who will live during the Millennium. Here we have the promise of a non-existent mortality rate among newborn babies.

Though this verse states that the people will not labor in vain, this word for labor is a reference to the birthing of babies. Other verses suggest that the work of the male, the work of ones sweat, will not be in vain, as prosperity and success are virtually assured because of Christ s blessings of the activities of the population.

But here we have the removal of the mourning that has occurred repeatedly throughout human history, due to the loss of ones children to death, either during childbirth, or soon thereafter because of illness, weaknesses, and such.

Furthermore, the children will not be born into the world just to meet some destructive end.

Again, history has demonstrated the need for more male children, than female. Why? Because in any given war of past centuries, tens of thousands of men died in battles. If the birth rates for both males and females were the same, then the female population would vastly outnumber the males. But, that is not the case.

Though, at any given point in time either one gender or the other might outnumber the other, but the trend of living males and females is generally equal over the long run.

With wars being a thing of the past, then there will not be losses of masses of the male population. Likewise, with disease being a thing of the past, then babies will not succumb to colds, pneumonia, fevers, or various diseases that happen to come along.

No longer will mothers and fathers weep and mourn at the loss of their children of various ages. The family units will remain for centuries, and they will include many generations.

If a generation continues to be calculated at or about thirty years of age, that is, if grown up children generally begin their new families at or about that age, then during the course of the 1000 years of the millennium, the world should see over 30 generations, before everything comes to an end. That means that the population of the Millennium is probably going to be huge.

Anyway, family gatherings should be interesting to be sure!

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
