You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isa. 65:9b
9 And I will bring forth [yatsa'] a seed [zera`] out of Jacob
[Ya`aqob], and out of Judah [Yahuwdah] an inheritor [yarash] of my
mountains [har]: and mine elect [bachiyr] shall inherit [yarash] it,
and my servants [`ebed] shall dwell [shakan] there. KJV-Interlinear
9 And I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, And an heir
of My mountains from Judah;
Even My chosen ones shall inherit it, And My servants shall dwell there. NASB
The
greatest blessing of all, is one for all of humanity, when God was patient with
man, and allowed humanity to continue through all of the generations prior to
the birth of Christ.
From
the promise to Adam, that a seed of a woman would give rise to a savior, born
of woman, to the many prophecies and promises of a savior, a Messiah, who would
come to the earth, and pay the price of sin, in man s place. God kept His promise.
Isaiah
gives us two promises. The first is for the birth of a savior. This future person would be born in the line
of Jacob, a Hebrew, and a descendent of the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
This
promise both indicates that the line of Jacob will survive any and all
hardships, until the time of the birth of the Messiah, as well as the promise
that there will indeed be a Savior coming out from the Jewish race.
And
next, this promise tells us that the Savior will not only be born, but He will
also be an heir of all of the lands of Palestine,
as it was known back in the time of Jacob.
Also, the Hebrew race will also be joint heirs of his land.
In
order to be an heir, one has to be alive to inherit. Therefore, if a race is alive then it
obviously survives any and all hardships, it might face in history.
Hebrew
was the term first used for Abraham, way back when he crossed over the river
Euphrates, and entered into the promised land of Canaan. The Canaanites lived in the land, and those
people were the target of the curse given to Ham back in Noah s day.
Then
the chosen people were further defined as the descendents of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob, in order to distinguish them from the Arab peoples who were also
descendents of Abraham and Isaac through their other sons.
Then
Jacob, who had twelve sons, received a new name, Israel. This would become the name
of Gods chosen nation.
For
many centuries, after the Exodus, they lived in the land formerly known as Canaan, but had become known as the land of the
Philistines. Otherwise known as Palestine.
The
nation divided into two nations, the Northern Nation which took the name of Israel, but was also known as Samaria,
and the Southern Nation known as Judah.
The
northern nation was destroyed by the Assyrians and that nation never recovered
in history. The southern nation, Judah turned
against God and was overrun, but it enjoyed a remnant of recovery to some
degree, but lived under the rule of several empires and never recovered its
autonomy.
Within
a couple of centuries prior to the birth of Christ, the region became known as Judea. From that
name we have the reference to its residents as Jews, a name that they
themselves adopted.
Just
as they left their former names, Hebrews and Israelites, and left their former
writings, the scriptures, the people of Judea
adopted their own name, rules and regulations for life and for ascension into
heaven. They called this Judaism, their
own invention of faith.
But
despite all of this, God still gave them an heir, a Savior, a Messiah, out from
their own genetics. This heir of course
is Jesus Christ.
The
Jewish people have held on to their latter name. They have held on to their regulatory
approach to God, rejecting His Son, and they are still looking for some future
Messiah, who will never come.
This
is the pattern of their rejection of Gods plan, as a whole race of people. This has gone on for many, many centuries.
Nearly two thousand years thus far. But
still, God has kept them alive, because they will have yet another set of
descendents who will turn away from their current rejection, and turn to
Christianity. That will not occur until
the last generation of human rule.
Though
when the Rapture occurs, all of this last generation of Jewish people will be
unbelievers, they will suddenly see the light of truth, and the lies of their
own faith, which they have clung to, and they will believe in Christ. Not only this, but a remnant of them will
grow up to spiritual maturity during the most difficult time in human history.
This
is the remnant both made up of Jews and gentiles, who will be believers in
Christ and mature believers at that.
This
remnant will be the heirs of the Millennium planet earth, with Christ as their
ruler.
God
was faithful in keeping His promise over two-thousand years ago and more in
maintaining the Jewish people as a race in order to provide a Savior. God has
been faithful in maintaining the Jewish race these last two-thousand years, and
in His continuing to maintain them even during the troubles, we witness today
in our contemporary history.
Though
there are groups of people out there in the world who hate the Jews with a
passion, they will never be able to rid the planet of them, because God is
defending them. Who can fight God? Anyone who tries to stand up against God,
will go down to defeat.
Likewise,
God has set out a plan for human history. One of those plan components is
called dispensations. We live in the
dispensation of the Church Age. Evil
will never rule within our dispensation. The time for evil s free reign will
not occur until the Tribulation. That
period of history will not begin until immediately after the Rapture.
You
and I, since we are believers in Christ, will never see that future time. We will depart this world, whether we are
alive at the time or dead, at the Rapture.
What we are witnessing now is Satan and evil, kicking up its fight in an
effort to seize control of history.
Jesus Christ controls history, not Islam, not liberalism, not
self-righteous people, not sin in general.
As
time passes by now, we witness the nations forming into the alignment that God
wants them to be in, when our dispensation finally ends. Likewise, we are witnesses to the
continuation of a people of whose progeny will one day be heirs in the
millennium.
What
generation will that be? When will that
be? None of us know. However, the one thing that is certain in
life, is Gods Word.
Though
the plans of humanity are many, only the one plan of God is certain.
Now is the time to post a prayer.
End Of Lesson
Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
