13 O LORD [Y@hovah] our God ['elohiym], other lords ['adown]
beside [zuwlah] thee have had dominion [ba`al] over us: but by thee only will we make mention [zakar] of thy name [shem]. KJV-Interlinear
13 O LORD our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us, but
your name alone we bring to remembrance. ESV
Leaders come and go, but none are eternal and certainly none are deity, and none are remembered as Christ will be remembered throughout history and forever.
History is littered with rulers and would be rulers. All aspire to greatness. All lack the sovereignty and ability and resources to be great. And all have been placed into history not by themselves, but according to the courtesy of Christ.
Likewise, all leaders have been removed from history at the direction of Christ.
Jesus Christ controls history and all that is in it.
Mans greatest mistake is to presume that man has some say and control over history in complete disregard to Gods plan.
Only a fool who lives but a few decades would presume to have control or power greater than one who has lived forever. Christ has of course been around forever. He created all things, and for Him all things were created.
Humanity is here to serve the purpose of God, which is truth. But unfortunately too many serve with disregard to truth, presume that truth is what they say it is, and assume that they can write their own eternal plan from the perspective of a very limited life.
Who will be remembered, is Christ. No one else, when it is all said and done, will be remembered, regardless of their role.
