You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Isaiah 21:6

6 For thus
hath the Lord ['Adonay] said ['amar] unto me, Go [yalak], set [`amad] a watchman [tsaphah], let him declare [nagad]
what he seeth [ra'ah]. KJV-Interlinear
6 For thus the Lord says to me, "Go, station the lookout, let
him report what he sees. NASB
Lack of doctrine in the soul, produces cowardice. Doctrine not learned from instruction, means you depend on your own resources. Bible doctrine in the soul, learned from instruction, produces courage since that doctrine depends on the resources of God, not you.
And now Isaiah is instructed to set or appoint a watchman. One who will keep a vigilant watch for signs and indications of the things to come.
This watch is not for events that are expected immediately.
Watchman, ‘tsaphah,’ means one who stands alert, and keeps a lookout day and night for as long as it takes. This is a long term vigil. This is a permanent position.
The events of this prophecy are not expected in the near future, but in the distant future, relative to Isaiah’s time.
And as we have already studied, this prophecy is set for the final days of history.
But again, do people watch? With what do they watch?
A spiritually negative world has no frame of reference for watching or for keeping a lookout.
But bible doctrine keeps watch for us.
Jesus Christ controls history.
Jesus Christ is the living person of both God and man, in one person, the unique person in all of existence.
Bible doctrine is the written person of Jesus Christ. To learn doctrine is to learn Christ.
To receive doctrine into your soul is to receive Christ in written form, into your soul for a permanent station within you.
Bible doctrine has declared what is to be. We have but to be aware of it by means of the consistency of our daily study, and more.
