Isaiah 14:1

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

1 For the LORD [Yahovah] will have mercy [racham] on Jacob [Ya`aqob], and will yet choose [bachar] Israel [Yisra'el], and set [yanach] them in their own land ['adamah]: and the strangers [ger] shall be joined [lavah] with them, and they shall cleave [caphach] to the house [bayith] of Jacob [Ya`aqob].  KJV-Interlinear

1 When the Lord will have compassion on Jacob, and again choose Israel, and settle them in their own land, then strangers will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob. NASB

The Lord has compassion and concern and deeply cares for the things and people that belong to him.

The Lord has a designed plan that was established in eternity past, the objective of which is to bring those who choose him, into eternity forever with him.

Unfortunately along the way we have evil that does everything in its power and within its resources to derail God’s plan. Evil comes by way of Satan, and indifferent humanity, who by virtue of their indifference become allies with Satan and his policies of evil.

It is because of this plan and God’s compassion that he will allow evil to go only so far, and then bring it to a halt.

As far as humanity is concerned, all of the generations have to be born into the world, from our beginning with Adam and Eve, until the last generation of people are born into this world. Thus far that has taken about six thousand years and counting.

The term Jacob, is typically used to represent the genetic descendants of Jacob, or the Jewish race.

The term Israel, is typically used to represent the chosen people of God, the family of God, the nation of God, and that includes people from all races.

In the previous chapter we saw the destruction of Babylon. Babylon is symbolic of and representative of, all the things of the world that are in contrast to and in opposition to God’s plan.

Satan has a plan that rejects God in order to promote himself. The world incorporates the same concepts of Satan’s plan whereby man invents his own plan, likewise rejecting God’s plan. And of course neither Satan nor man, have the wherewithal or ability or resources to plot, plan, or even sustain their own destiny. They can’t even define their own destiny.

Therefore at the end of the tribulation, when the second advent of Jesus Christ occurs, there will be few surviving peoples in the world, many of whom are of the Jewish race, but also there will be many non-Jews, herein referred to as strangers.

So when the kingdom of God begins, it will begin with both Jews and Gentiles, all of whom are believers in Jesus Christ.

The house of Jacob, is a phrase that incorporates and encompasses the entire realm of God’s plan, both in the selection of the line of the Savior, in the selection of God’s people, and the selection of God’s nation.

At that time, all people will look to Jesus Christ, and to no other religion, philosophy or belief.
