Isaiah 7:6

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

6 Let us go up [`alah] against Judah, [Yahuwdah] and vex [quwts] it, and let us make a breach [baqa`] therein for us, and set [malak] a king [melek] in the midst [tavek] of it, even the son [ben] of Tabeal: [taba'el] KJV-Interlinear

6 "Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls, and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it," NASB

Judah means praised. Tabeal, a Syrian name, means pleasing to god (a false god).

And so with a play on words the enemy kings, Rezin, and Pekah, both conspired together to justify their invasion of Judah under the guise that this invasion was just and right and that God would be pleased with their choice of leadership.

They superimpose their evil desires onto God and make God a partner by rhetoric. This is not an uncommon tactic of evil people. They use God or some deity, in their rhetoric in order to impress the general population and to justify their actions. This leaves the impression that just because Gods name is used, then it must be so.

That is how spiritually dysfunctional people think. They are impressed by things that are spoken publically, or published in written form publically such as in the news media, without any verification.

Folks will take media at face value and at the same time they will reject the Bible at its face value. The Bible is truth, and most media is empty rhetoric.

And these words are the empty rhetoric and agenda of the northern nation of Israel and of Syria, against Judah.

In their minds they will invade, and lay siege and breach the city walls of Jerusalem and every other cities, and force their submission to their will. They will place a king of their choice, one of Syrian heritage, for the name is Syrian, in order to honor their own gods, not the God of the Hebrews who is the one true God.

Judah is praised, they are not. Christ is pleased with Judah, while they are pleased with their own agenda and presumed success.

Jesus Christ controls history and His will, is always accomplished.

Their will, controls nothing but is driven and controlled by their collective sin natures.

God has a plan, which was laid out in eternity past. Gods plan has never changed and continues on course throughout history, regardless of the many millennia that have passed.

Mans plans are temporary and short lived, and always fail sooner or later.
